Kristin Cabot has criticized Gwyneth Paltrow for mocking her kiss cam scandal with her former boss, Andy Bryon.
The ex-Astronomer HR exec spoke out for the first time since the incident, and one of her talking points was calling Paltrow a "hypocrite" for allowing herself to be used by the company as a temporary spokesperson.
Kristin Cabot also dived into other details about the scandal, including how she believes she has taken accountability for her actions by resigning from her role with Astronomer.
Kristin Cabot Brands Gwyneth Paltrow A 'Hypocrite'

Speaking for the first time since her summer kiss cam incident, Cabot called out Paltrow, whom her former employers hired as a temporary spokesperson at the time the scandal was trending.
Paltrow, who was previously married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, featured in a humorous ad for the company, in which she seemed to make light of the situation.
While many might have found the ad amusing, Cabot didn't share the same view and felt the actress was mocking her ordeal.
"I was such a fan of her company, which seemed to be about uplifting women," Cabot told The Times in a new interview. "And then she did this. I thought, 'How dare she, after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff?' What a hypocrite."
Cabot's reference to Paltrow's "uncoupling stuff" goes back to the actress's 2014 split from Martin, which she described as a "conscious uncoupling" at the time.
The Former Astronomer HR Exec Says She Was 'Horrified' By The Kiss Cam Incident

In a separate interview with the New York Times, Cabot dived into how she felt about being a public spectacle in the wake of the kiss-cam incident.
"I was so embarrassed and so horrified," Cabot told the outlet, referencing how she was caught canoodling with Byron at Coldplay's Boston concert.
"I'm the head of HR, and he's the CEO. It's, like, so cliché and so bad," she added.
Cabot also revealed that she and Byron weren't sexually involved at the time, despite the many speculations from netizens and even Martins when he saw them appear on the Jumbotron.
According to her, she and the former Astronomer CEO hadn't even kissed at the time, although she did admit to having had a "crush" on him.
However, all this didn't seem to matter as her life went under intense scrutiny following the incident, and she repeatedly faced death threats.
Kristin Cabot Called Her Kiss Cam Incident A 'Bad Decision'

Reflecting further on the scandal, Cabot admitted to the outlet that being all that chummy with her former boss was something she shouldn't have done, even though she was at the time already separated from her husband, Andrew.
"I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss," she told the outlet.
These days, Cabot no longer feels any guilt, as she believes she took "accountability" for her actions by resigning even after being asked by the Astronomer's board to return to her role.
The Former HR Chief Says Her Kids Were Worried About Her Safety

Speaking more about her resignation from Astronomer, Cabot claimed it was the price she had to pay.
"That's the price I chose to pay," the seasoned HR professional also noted. "I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up, but you don't have to be threatened to be killed for them."
According to Cabot, the Board of Directors still wanted her back in the company as the HR chief.
Amid the scandal, her family and friends were worried that her life might be in danger, with Cabot noting that her kids were "afraid that [she] was going to die and they were going to die."
What Happened To Kristin Cabot And Andy Byron's Marriages?

In the aftermath of the scandal, the marriages of Cabot and that of her kiss cam partner, Byron, seem to have followed separate paths.
Cabot is in the process of finalizing her divorce with her estranged husband, Andrew, after she filed in Portsmouth, N.H., on August 13.
The legal process remains ongoing, although neither Cabot nor Andrew has made any extensive comments about the details of their separation.
Meanwhile, Byron and his wife, Megan, appear to have decided to make their marriage work despite the scandal. Neither of them has been reported to have filed for divorce since the incident, and they were spotted in September enjoying a stroll and spending some time on the beach.
Further evidence that the couple remains together comes from recently uncovered documents for their four-bedroom Manhattan home, which was recently sold for $5.8 million. It listed a shared colonial-style residence in Northborough, Massachusetts, near Worcester, as their current address.
