Kristin Cabot is reflecting on the moment her life was thrown into turmoil following a controversial Coldplay kiss-cam incident earlier this year.
The former Astronomer and HR executive was photographed with her then-boss, Andy Byron, sharing an intimate moment at the band's concert in Boston. Despite the ensuing scandal, Cabot remained silent until now and has revealed that she felt both embarrassed and horrified by the incident.
In the months that followed, it emerged that Kristin Cabot had already separated from her husband, Andrew Cabot, weeks before the event.
Kristin Cabot Explains Her Feelings About Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal

Earlier in the year, Kristin Kabot, a former HR executive at tech company Astronomer, and her then-boss, Andy Byron, went viral after they were seen canoodling on the kiss cam at Coldplay's concert in Boston.
Now, speaking publicly for the first time since the incident, Cabot has shared her feelings about being at the center of the scandal, which ultimately prompted her resignation from Astronomer.
"I was so embarrassed and so horrified," Cabot told the New York Times in an interview. "I'm the head of HR, and he's the CEO. It's, like, so cliché and so bad."
According to Cabot, she and Byron quickly penned an email to the Astronomer's Board of Directors in an attempt to explain the situation after realizing they had been caught on the kiss cam.
However, before they could send the email, it was too late, as the footage had already gone viral.
What followed, she said, was intense scrutiny of her life, and even after resigning, she continued to face death threats. At some point, her children became "afraid that [she] was going to die and they were going to die," Cabot added.
Kristin Cabot Speaks On How She Grew Close To The Former Astronomer CEO And Developed A 'Crush'

In her chat with the publication, Cabot detailed how she started having feelings for her boss, stating that she and Byron "clicked stylistically" during her interview to join Astronomer in the summer of 2024.
When she was employed in November, Cabot stated that she and Byron began to talk a lot and sometimes would even chat at least three times a day.
Their bond was further strengthened due to them both "going through" separations, Cabot claims, and this led to her developing "big feelings" for Byron, even going as far as fantasizing about dating him.
However, she noted that she knew she couldn't "get too carried away" due to them working at the same company.
By the time she invited Byron to a Coldplay concert in July, Cabot admits that she had already had a "full crush" on the CEO, but, according to her, the outing was not a date as they were in the company of friends.
At the concert, they began dancing and drinking, during which Cabot grabbed Byron's arms and wrapped them around her body. Shortly after, the Coldplay kiss cam panned to them and broadcast their intimate act to the entire stadium via a Jumbotron.
The Former Astronomer HR Executive Believes She Took 'Accountability' For Her 'Bad Decision'

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cabot acknowledged that her canoodling with her boss in public wasn't right, even though their relationship was never sexual and they had not kissed.
"I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss," she told the outlet.
By choosing to resign from the company, even after reportedly being asked by the board to return to her role following a leave of absence, Cabot feels that she has taken "accountability" for her actions.
"That's the price I chose to pay," the seasoned HR professional also noted. "I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up, but you don't have to be threatened to be killed for them."
Kristin Cabot Is Separated From Her Husband, Andrew

At the time the scandal emerged, Cabot's marital status also came under scrutiny, with many believing that her actions were disrespectful to her husband, Andrew.
However, it later became known that she was "privately and amicably separated" from him several weeks before the Coldplay concert.
"Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening," a spokesman for Andrew told People Magazine at the time. "Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they've always valued."
The divorce is yet to be finalized and was filed by Cabot in Portsmouth, N.H., on August 13.
Astronomer Former CEO Andy Byron Seems To Have Settled With His Wife, Megan

As for Byron, he and his wife, Megan, appear to have decided to make their marriage work despite the scandal.
Neither of them has been reported to have filed for divorce since the incident, unlike Cabot.
In September, Byron and Megan were also spotted enjoying a private stroll in Maine. They both had their wedding bands on at the time, per the Daily Mail.
Later, they were seen having a cozy sunset picnic on the beach, like any typical couple in love. Their trip to the beach included sitting on deck chairs and taking in the sea breeze while enjoying sodas and other snacks.
Further evidence that the couple remains together comes from recently uncovered documents for their four-bedroom Manhattan home, which was recently sold for $5.8 million.
It listed a shared colonial-style residence in Northborough, Massachusetts, near Worcester, as their current address.
