NBA Star Paul Pierce Slams Kim Kardashian, Implies She's Warped The Average Woman's Mind

NBA champion Paul Pierce is airing out his issues with Kim Kardashian. On an episode of his podcast, "The Truth After Dark," Pierce, 48, explained that Kim, known for her stunning looks and sculpted body, has warped the average woman's mind. However, it is not as one might think. According to Pierce, Kim's body has caused widespread problems, and he wants it to stop.

Pierce, who had an impressive career in the NBA from 1998 to 2017, recently opened up about women on his podcast and shared that too many of them today want to look like "Kim K."

"I blame Kim Kardashian for the women we see today," Pierce said. "What we glorify on TV when we see these beautiful women with big old sexy lips and these big old eyelashes and eyebrows and butt and lips banging out the window."

He went on to say that, due to Kim's sweeping influence, she's inspired many women to try to manipulate their bodies to match hers. "I feel like every girl looks like Kim," he said.

In a 2022 interview, Kim spoke openly about the world's beauty standards, admitting that despite the claims, she has not gotten significant work done on certain parts of her body.

"I never had my nose done," she said. "Everyone thought I did, and I said wait until I have kids because your real features come out."

Kim further stated that she often keeps her makeup to a minimum. "I’ve never had eyelash extensions. I’ve never done anything. I have a drop of mascara on today. I’ve never filled my cheeks. I’ve never filled my lips," she said.

While she has denied having major cosmetic procedures, Kim explained that she is passionate about looking her best. In that same interview, the "Kardashians" reality star admitted to caring "more than 90 percent of the people on the planet" about how she's perceived.

She noted that keeping her body at its best is also quite a challenge with her hectic schedule as a businesswoman and mother of four. "It’s not easy when you’re a mom and you’re exhausted at the end of the day or you’re in school and I’m all of the above. I do my beauty treatments usually late at night. After everyone’s in bed, I’m doing laser treatments," she said.

Despite Kim's past confession, Pierce still believes the star has had an undeniable influence on the culture. "Like, d-mn, everybody wants the straight black hair and the lips and the curvy booty and the eyelashes, and everybody’s cutting their noses up and chin up and cheeks up," he said.

He said that he places all the "blame" on Kim for the "way our girls are," later stating that they have gotten "out of control with it."

"They’re like, ‘Give me the Kim K.’ But now they OD it and now they start looking crazy. Like, she is really the reason why the women look the way they look today. Good or bad. That’s just what I feel," he concluded.

According to a previous report from The Blast, there is one woman Kim certainly appears to have impacted regarding her looks: her mother, Kris Jenner. A source shared in the summer of 2025 that Kris was preparing for cosmetic surgery heavily inspired by Kim.

"What Kim has done, Kris wants it, too. She thinks the world of Kim and follows her every move when it comes to cosmetic changes," the source claimed.

Kris has spoken candidly about her cosmetic surgeries on recent episodes of their Hulu series. In a previous interview, she admitted to having a facelift "15 years ago" before deciding to get a refresh in 2025. She even shared her outlook on aging, explaining why she has opted into various elective surgeries.

"Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself," she said. "If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version."
