Meghan Markle Slammed As 'Aggressive' By Journalist Over Ailing Estranged Dad

Meghan Markle has struck another nasty chord with the press!

The Duchess of Sussex and her team have received an earful from a journalist who claimed they came after her for giving Thomas Markle a platform to tell his story.

Meghan Markle and her estranged father have found themselves trailed by several controversies and theories about their relationship, which reportedly went sour due to strained trust and episodes of betrayal.

Caroline Graham revealed that Meghan and her team have reacted harshly towards her decision to stay with Thomas in the hospital during his amputation. In her words, the messages she received were "unnecessarily aggressive."

The journalist revealed that her friendship with Thomas dates back to 2018, when she interviewed him about his issues with Meghan following her marriage to Prince Harry.

She stressed that all the stories which she has since published about the Markle family came with full permission granted by Thomas. He reportedly reached out to Caroline in the days leading up to his amputation to own the narrative of this episode of his life.

The reporter added that Thomas had lived a life where he had been burned by several stories made up by the internet, and he also wanted to reach out to his daughter for the last time.

Caroline noted that her presence by Thomas' bedside was facilitated by his son, who informed her that the amputation was urgent due to the discovery of a massive blood clot in Thomas' thighs.

As shared by Page Six, Caroline insisted that Thomas' inability to get through to Meghan had led to the continued interviews with Thomas. She added that there was also an agreement that whatever Thomas says would be off the record till he stated otherwise.

Caroline chastised Meghan's team on how they handled the whole situation involving Thomas' story and urged them to voice their concerns to the paper's editors and their legal team.

She revealed that she had an emotional conversation with Thomas a while ago on how it would be impossible to sort things out with Meghan with her as a member of the press in the picture. This was because Prince Harry had allegedly expressed his dislike for the British media.

The reporter also detailed her efforts in getting across to Meghan's PR team following reports from her camp that they have been trying to reach Thomas. Caroline continued that when the PR team eventually sent their mail, it went into a dormant address, which Thomas had not used for years.

Days after his surgery, sources from Meghan's camp confirmed that he duly received her letter with the support of reliable and trusted contacts.

As reported by The Blast, the source claimed she had tried to reach him earlier in December following his emergency surgery, but her efforts never broke through to her dad in the Philippines.

The team also made frantic phone calls to facilities across the Philippines to get Thomas' exact location, but none came through. Meghan's father reportedly did not have a phone, nor did the Duchess have a working phone number.

Additionally, the presence of Caroline in the arrangement painted the picture of heavy third-party interference, who may listen to the call between Meghan and Thomas. The reporter was then blamed by Meghan's team for the delay in the long-awaited conversation between the father and daughter.

Last week, The Blast noted that royal commentators examined the TV star's branding and her relationship with members of her extended family.

Kinsey Schofield, who hosts the Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered show, claimed that the Duchess of Sussex spent most of the year focusing on promoting a picture-perfect and family-oriented brand.

Kinsey stressed that Meghan's lack of a relationship with her father has now poked a hole in the reality she has been trying to sell. She noted that it would be in her best interest to reach out to her father amid his amputation and make peace to drive home her point.

"Otherwise, every time we see Meghan and Harry lovingly engage with wounded vets at Invictus, we will ask ourselves why they couldn't show Meghan's father the same compassion," Kinsey added.

She added that Thomas should be allowed to visit his grandchildren in the spirit of Meghan's holiday special, which focused on family and togetherness.

The couple's successful Netflix shows, a new executive producer's role, and Meghan's return to acting failed to impress Kinsey, who insisted that their popularity was fading.

The commentator claimed that the confidence that pushed them to leave the royal family was solely fueled by people's perception of them, and they may have no choice but to continue pleasing the public to make a living.

She also noted that Meghan's desire for commercial success may conflict with Harry's true goal to make peace with the royal family. She warned that as long as Meghan uses her title and link with the royal family for business, the palace will respond by keeping their distance from Harry, hence a decline in his fame.
