Erika Kirk has issued a firm call to end the conspiracy theories surrounding her husband's death. The mother of two made the remark during a town hall set to air later this weekend on a major news outlet.
Her comments appeared to be directed in part at political commentator Candace Owens, who has been one of the most prominent voices spreading speculation about the right-wing influencer's assassination.
Although Candace Owens has not directly responded to this latest statement, she previously reacted to Erika Kirk's remarks from an earlier interview.
Erika Kirk Warns Candace Owens Against Making Conspiracy Theories About Charlie Kirk's Death

Since Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September, speculation has swirled about the incident, with political commentators like Candace Owens among those who have circulated headline-grabbing theories.
Owens, who claims to have been friends with Charlie, has made statements suggesting that he was betrayed by Turning Point USA, the nonprofit the right-wing influencer led prior to his death.
She has also made unfounded allegations about the organization's finances, seemingly to support a narrative that Charlie's death was an inside job.
Now, Charlie's wife, Erika, who had previously remained silent while Owens and other conspiracy theorists spread claims about her husband's death, has finally addressed the issue in a town hall set to air Saturday onCBS.
She called for these individuals to stop propagating such conspiracy theories, though she did not indicate whether any legal action would be taken if they continued to do so.
"Stop. That's it. That's all I have to say. Stop," the mother of two told CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.
Candace Owens Said The Widow Has 'Meghan Markle Syndrome' Over Request About Her Husband's Burial Site

For now, Owens has yet to respond to Erika's warning, but it is likely that the threat wouldn't have the needed effect, as Owens had previously done a scathing analysis of an earlier interview Erika had with Fox News Channel's Outnumbered, per Newsweek.
In one part of the interview, Erika had called for privacy over her husband's burial site when she addressed questions on it.
Owens, in her podcast episode on Wednesday, then stated that the mother of two was right to ask for privacy.
However, she also believes that Erika's request was "going to be read as Meghan Markle syndrome…where you want privacy when you want it, but you want publicity whenever you want it, and that just doesn't work."
"This is the same person who…had somebody record her over Charlie Kirk's casket," Owens added about the new TPUSA CEO. "That was not our business, truly...the decision to publish that, you crying over your husband's casket, and to publish his dead body on Instagram was a decision that was made by Erika."
Erika Kirk Was Criticized For Not Having Time To Address Theories About Charlie's Death

In Erika's interview with Fox, she claimed that she didn't have time to address the conspiracy theories, describing it all as "noise."
At the time, she also noted that she and her team were busy building, which seemed to explain why she hadn't been paying much attention to the theories initially.
In response, Owens listed Erika's most recent public engagements before arguing that the mother of two did have time, but simply didn't view the questions being asked about her husband's death as a priority.
"She has time," Owens remarked on her podcast about Erika. "It is just what she means to say, not her priority." "It is not her priority to respond to the majority," the political commentator added.
Erika Kirk's Ability To Run TPUSA Was Also Questioned By Her Late Husband's Close Pal

Elsewhere in Owens' scathing analysis of Erika's interview, she questioned the entrepreneur's ability to lead TPUSA.
She made the statement in response to Erika's appeal to conspiracy theorists to stop making baseless claims about Charlie's staff, whom she described as family.
"[Erika is] expanding the wings of people that we're not allowed to critique because they're in the family," Owens said.
"I hate to say this…but this is why there are many people who do not believe that women are equipped to lead companies," she added. "Because what you are watching here is an unbelievably emotional response that is absent of any logic."
"Don't try to like mom the organization and say, 'well, mother's upset because people are coming after her kids and all of the multi-million-dollar subsidiaries,'" Owens further remarked.

During an interview on Fox News, Erika called out conspiracy theorists who attack her staff and accuse them of being involved in Charlie's death.
"My silence does not mean that somehow Turning Point USA and all of the handpicked staff that loved my husband and my husband loved them is somehow in on it," she told host Harris Faulkner.
Erika then stressed that while she doesn't mind being criticized, she would not allow the attacking of her staff and loved ones.
"Come after me, call me names, I don't care. Call me what you want, go down that rabbit hole, whatever," Erika stated. "When you go after the people that I love, and you're making hundreds of thousands of dollars every single episode, going after the people that I love, because somehow they're in on this? No."
