Jelly Roll Reveals Difficult Sex Life Before 200-Pound Weight Loss

Jelly Roll is letting us in on some details of his life behind closed doors.

The country singer, who has actively strived to leave the overweight club, reveals struggles he had in his marriage due to obesity. He has also been previously open about the mistakes he made and deeply regrets, which nearly cost him his marriage.

Jelly Roll got married to his wife, Bunnie XO, in 2016. Their relationship hit a rough patch after a few years, as they separated briefly in 2018. The pair got back together and renewed their vows in 2023 and have remained together ever since.

Jelly Roll had a heartfelt moment before the cameras when he opened up about how he struggled with his sex life with his wife. He revealed that while he was topping the weight charts, he not only suffered the stigma that came with being obese, but it also affected a personal part of his life.

Before he recently lost 200lbs, he disclosed that his sex life was horrible and was similar to him playing Twister. He was so big that arousal was a problem despite his wife's beautiful and well-endowed body.

On this Wednesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the rapper detailed his struggles and compared it to a game of Twister, saying, "Left foot here, right foot in the X. You know, are we in there yet? Tell me if you feel something."

The singer was brought to tears as he spoke, "I mean, it was bad," he said after sharing how being a 550 lbs man was a challenge to him in the bedroom.

Jelly Roll also recalled some bad habits he had to put away to work on his health. He used to drink, do cocaine, use codeine, and take pills on his previous birthdays. This year, he celebrated by going on a run with his bowhunting buddy Cameron Hanes.

He also attributed praise of the changes he has seen so far to God, saying, "That's what God can do for you in a couple of years, baby. That's what God can do."

The 41-year-old maintains an active lifestyle, jogging two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. He spends 30 minutes in the sauna and six minutes in a cold plunge. Taking a step further in all-around wellness, he hired nutritionist Chef Ian Larios to prepare his high-protein meals.

He also revealed that his weight loss is purely free of any GLP-1 agonist drug due to his fear of the acid reflux side effect. Jelly Roll aspires to be on the cover of Men's Health next year, saying, "I wanna have one of the biggest transformations. I did this publicly for a reason."

In October, Jelly Roll shared a deep part of his life and relationship with his wife, Bunnie XO. He disclosed that his actions nearly ruined his marriage and that he had regrets. He also expressed gratitude to his wife, whom he loves dearly, for taking him back and giving him a second chance.

The Blast reported that during an episode of the "Human School" podcast, the rapper confessed that he had cheated on his wife. He described it as the worst moment of his life as he failed to act right despite being madly in love with Bunnie XO.

The singer was very remorseful and stated that he sincerely regretted his actions. Jelly Roll did not leave out the trigger for this act. He blamed it on the negative influence of the people he had in his circle at the time.

After the rapper's public confession, the internet raved, shifting focus to Bunnie XO awaiting her statement. An online user suggested she leave the singer, but the model calmly responded.

She wrote, explaining that rebuilding a wounded relationship with a man she loves instead of gossiping or walking away showed how strong a woman she is. She went further, writing that not everyone is built for that kind of strength.

"Growth isn't weakness, it's grace," she continued, and added that she prays the user does not experience such pain ever in their life.

Bunnie Xo had previously shared their past struggles, and as shared by The Blast, she knows they are committed to each other and the relationship they have built together against all odds.

Jelly Roll is not the only one with challenges in his marriage. His wife recently revealed on her podcast that she has to turn herself in because of a traffic ticket from 2020. The model admitted that she had forgotten about the ticket and her suspended license, which has now caught up with her and the law.

Bunnie XO got the ticket from Alabama in 2020, forgot about it, but was reminded when she was pulled over recently for possibly speeding on the highway. 

She also assumed her suspended license was reinstated after she paid the fine, but was shocked to find out it was not before being informed that driving with a suspended license was an arrestable offence.

The officer then told her to go to jail and book herself within a week while she works with her lawyers to resolve the situation.
