Angelina Jolie is dragging Brad Pitt to court over the sale of the former couple's Miraval Château Winery in France. She claims her attempts to sell off half of the property and business to him were unsuccessful, and now she wants to sell it to a third party.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Angelina is attempting to sell her shares of the famous winery in France. But, unfortunately, due to the couple's ongoing divorce, she is not allowed to enter into an agreement to sell marital assets without the consent of Brad Pitt.

In the court filing, Jolie claims she has attempted to sell her half in the property and the wine business to Brad over the past few years, but the two could not make a deal. The actress says she took to the open market and landed a possible buyer of property -- but there is a problem.

According to the documents, Angelina and Brad purchased the $67 million estate with two different companies, which they individually started before they were married. The former couple currently owns equal shares of the property and wine business. After getting divorced, the two stars faced "marital disagreements" regarding the "management of the assets," which included "substantial expenditures being incurred based on the unilateral directive of Mr. Pitt."

Obviously, according to the European lawyer handling the case, because of disagreements and the divorce "altering the parties' ability to work together as business partners," they entered into negotiations for a "possible buyout" scenario.

Jolie reportedly had many discussions and "exchanged many proposals" to sell the property to Pitt. After over TWO years, they couldn't make a deal -- based on "terms of price and non-compete/non-disparagement arrangements." At this point, Angelina's team began discussions of a sale to a third party which led to an offer to buy her stake in the estate.

Jolie's lawyers are asking the California divorce court to allow the one-time sale of Miraval, even though the former couple hasn't hashed out all of their finances. If it isn't done immediately, the protective buyer may pull out of the deal.

"After all these years of trying to extricate herself from being business partners with her ex-husband on acceptable financial terms, Ms. Jolie is extremely desirous of closing the pending agreement for the sale of (her half of the estate.) In the filing, Angelina says she is at the mercy of Brad, who controls the situation, and is eager to remove herself from being a "disregarded business partner with her ex-husband."

It should be noted, the emergency request to sell the property has been denied, with the judge saying it lacked "showing of immediate danger or irreparable harm or immediate loss/damage to the property." In other words, the two will have to argue this situation out in court for a bit longer!

If the two cannot agree on the deal, most likely, it will be decided during a trial over all of the couple's finances.
