The American actress said some things about Charlie Kirk after he was shot, and she is absolutely not ready to take back those words.
Amanda Seyfried has faced quite a handful of pushback against some of her very controversial comments about equally controversial people like Harvey Weinstein.

The award-winning actress spun the block on her critics in a new interview with Who What Wear, reminding them that every word she used in describing the late Kirk had traceable roots, and she feels little remorse for her thoughts.
"I mean, for f-cks sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes," the star emphasized. Seyfried insisted that they were definitely not a farce, and she is free to have an opinion.
The actress had left her comment under a viral post about Kirk's very controversial statements about abortion, immigration, and black people. Seyfried described the media personality as a very "hateful" person following the post.
She also seemed to agree with a post that insinuated the podcaster got his share of what happens when someone constantly invites "violence to the dinner table."

Seyfried's opinions on the late media personality's character instantly captured the attention of social media users, who were mostly upset. As noted by The Blast, a lot of the actress's fans promised to stop consuming her content as she believed the assassination of a man was justified.
Other commenters claimed she was hypocritical with her views and accused her of double standards, whilst also referring to her very horrible character. A commenter even called for her removal from the show business sphere due to her "reprehensible" comments about Kirk.
Some set of commenters were convinced the actress was simply spreading a lie that Kirk was a hateful person and urged producers to sever ties with her.

The 40-year-old appeared online to respond to the rampage that erupted due to her comment about the late influencer. She explained to the raging fans that not all situations are black and white, and the nuance of humanity must always be considered when analyzing sensitive situations.
"I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk's murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable 'in every way imaginable," Seyfried declared.
She then stated the circumstances surrounding Kirk's death, noting that no one should have to experience violence on the scale that he did. The actress then shifted her focus to the current issue plaguing America, noting that the country is grieving too many gruesome deaths and senseless shootings.

Earlier in the year, The Blast shared that the actress sat down with her colleague Adam Brody during a Variety "Actors on Actors" session, where she raved about being starstruck when she met Harvey Weinstein at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
She revealed that she gave him the biggest hug amid the thick air of excitement in the room about Weinstein's presence. "I'm like, 'Harvey bought it.' And he was like the big papa of the room," the star added.
Seyfried also admitted she had no idea of the extent of Weinstein's abuse until things became public with several allegations in 2017. Brody also corroborated the story, and the rest of their conversation about the producer seemingly downplayed the gravity of his actions.
Fans disputed Seyfried's statement about being ignorant, explaining that Weinstein's evil ways have been an open secret in Hollywood for years. They also came for their body language while describing Weinstein, tagging it very upsetting and disturbing.
