Lisa Rinna's Eldest Daughter Talks Years-Long Health Battle Involving 'Convulsing'

Lisa Rinna's daughter, Delilah Belle Hamlin, revisits the hassles of dealing with Endometriosis.

The model adds to the long list of celebrities who have come forward to share their harrowing experiences with Endometriosis and how much it affects them.

Lisa Rinna's daughter has had a couple of health issues in the past, all of which she has been public about, like in 2023, when she revealed she was battling an autoimmune disease.

The model revealed that she would sometimes pass out from the pain of Endometriosis, which also gave her seizures. The episodes reportedly came before and during her period, where, according to her, "I would get really hot, and I would start convulsing."

She also shared that on her mission to find a lasting solution to this problem, she encountered several gynecologists who could not give her an accurate diagnosis of Endometriosis.

"The first time I had ever heard of it was when [pop star] Halsey posted about it on her Instagram years ago. And then I never thought about it. I thought about PCOS and other things that gynecologists would bring up," Hamlin added.

She noted that an earlier diagnosis of PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) did not seem to help her out of misery, as she often skipped school as a high school student due to the debilitating cramps.

Hamlin opened up that she briefly stopped consuming alcohol to help her out of the misery of seizures, which she suffered from. Speaking on her addiction issues, the model admitted that she struggled with substance abuse because she was battling so much depression and anxiety.

These days, Hamlin is grateful for the opportunity to conduct independent research and eventually go in for surgery to remove the endometrial implants, which helped with so many of her symptoms.

Aside from her Endometriosis, which, according to Mayo Clinic, isdefined as a condition where cells similar to the lining of the uterus or endometrium grow outside the uterus, the model also had Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr virus, and more.

To address her addiction issues, she visited a mental health treatment facility in February 2018 and June 2018, after becoming very depressed while attending New York University, which was very far from her hometown of Los Angeles.

The media personality uploaded a picture of herself on Instagram two years ago, informing the world that she was battling an autoimmune disease, which she had mainly kept under wraps for a while.

As noted by The Blast, she explained in the post that while she fought behind the scenes, she also recorded some impressive victories.

"It's definitely been tough mentally, alongside physically. I've kind of kept quiet because I don't want to be put in a 'sick' role," Hamlin declared, as she attached an image of herself receiving an IV drip in the post.

She noted that the reason she decided to go public about her illness was to share the lessons and her experience with her fans. Despite her situation, Hamlin encouraged herself and others with a positive quote from Joel Osteen, which urged everyone to put their faith in God and look to him in moments of doubt.

Hamlin took to TikTok in 2021 to make a public plea to Rinna to look into paying for her therapy sessions. The media personality captioned the video: "Unrealistic things I want for Christmas for my parents to pay for my trauma therapy."

The Blast shared that a page on Instagram then reposted the video and encouraged the star to put pressure on her parents so they could do the right thing. The blog even advised Hamlin to take her parents' credit card and get the job done, with hopes that the payment would not decline.

Before the TikTok video, the model had explained that she accidentally overdosed on prescription drugs in an Instagram video. Earlier in the year, Hamlin also shared that she was prescribed several medications by a psychiatrist when she began experiencing severe panic attacks due to PANDAS.

In 2021, the model hopped on social media once again to drop a lengthy caption in celebration of her grandmother, Lois Rinna, who had just died.

Hamlin picked the choicest words to praise her late grandmother, whom she described as a special human, as she added that there are no words to describe how amazing she was.

Hamlin continued that it gave her great joy to know her grandmother was now resting in the arms of her one true love while looking absolutely dashing. In her words, "Heaven has certainly gained a beautiful, smart, entertaining, compassionate, loving angel."

The model promised to get better for her late grandmother, whom she claimed taught her the meaning of strength.
