Travis Kelce Goes On Foul-Mouthed Rant About His Performance After Brutal Drop During Texans Game

Travis Kelce is not happy with his performance this week and delivered a profanity-laced assessment of it.

The NFL star admitted that he "just can't find" the answers he's looking for as the Kansas City Chiefs risk missing out on the playoffs.

Travis Kelce's recent remarks came amid heated rumors that he may be considering pulling the plug on his career, as he refused to take off his helmet following his team's loss on Sunday.

Travis Kelce got brutally honest about his lackluster performance this season following the Kansas City Chiefs' 20-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

The 36-year-old football star and his teammates were already in a bad spot before the game, as their 6-6 record left their playoff hopes hanging by a thread.

After making a costly drop in the game that cost the Chiefs valuable points and extending their record to 6-7, Travis admitted that things are not going the way he hoped.

"You put in all this f-cking work and hope that it pays off. And right now, it's just for whatever f-cking reason, man, it's little things," he told his brother Jason on Wednesday's episode of their "New Heights" podcast.

Travis continued, "I feel like I've always had the answers in years past. And this year, I just can't find them. I keep thinking if I show up to work and I put in the work and I fix the issues through my practice habits and through perfecting the game plan and my fundamentals and what I'm being taught and go out there and try and play my -ss off for my guys next to me, it's all going to come together like it has in years past. And this year is just not, man."

Despite their disappointing run, Travis is not backing down from the challenge, saying he would keep doing everything to turn the results around and treat every game as if it were "the most important game in the world."

"It's all that I can do. I'm going to always show up to work and f-cking give it my all," the star tight end said.

On a previous episode of the show, Travis weighed in on their performance but promised that he and his teammates would do all they could to "fix this mess."

"It's tough being part of this reality right now," Travis admitted. "We're 6-6, and we're fighting for our lives to find a way into the playoffs."

He added, "What is real is that we still have a chance, baby, and that's all that matters to me. We have a chance, and we keep coming to work with the mindset and sense of urgency we need to fix this mess."

After his costly drop and the Chiefs' devastating loss to the Texans, Travis refused to speak to the media.

According to reports, Rashee Rice had left the locker room open, and the disheartened tight end was seen turning down interview requests twice.

This act by Travis could lead to an NFL punishment, with Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk stating that the organization's rules require players to address reporters unless they're in concussion protocol.

Travis has already skipped multiple media obligations this year, and these repeated absences can lead to fines if the league or "the media covering the team complains about it."

Following Sunday's defeat, rumors circulated on social media about Travis possibly saying goodbye to football.

Some internet users believe he may be retiring this season, especially if the Chiefs don't offer him a contract extension following his expiration in the coming months.

"Here's the thing: if the Chiefs can't give him a one-year contract for any price for next season, he is going to retire, as this is his last season on his contract. Away from football, Travis revealed the unsurprising position his fiancée, Taylor Swift, sits on his Spotify Wrapped for the year.

On the latest episode of their podcast, he and Jason opened up about what their listening stats are, with the former Philadelphia Eagles star disclosing he has a listening age of 83, while Travis's own was 68.

Jason then went further to reveal that Swift's "The Life Of A Showgirl" sits second on his "Top Albums of 2025," but that wasn't the case for Travis, who said, "That was number one for me."

Travis and Swift are currently making plans for their wedding, with reports claiming the couple has their sights set on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the ceremony, which would possibly be held at the luxurious Ocean House in Watch Hill.
