Kendra Wilkinson is going on a detox months after admitting she needed to work on her alcohol intake.
The former star of "The Girls Next Door" series and one of the many girlfriends of the late Hugh Hefner recently announced her decision to get clean. She shared the news alongside a warning to fans and critics alike.
Kendra Wilkinson has experienced many emotional hurdles and transitions since her time with the Playboy founder. Although she was never a playmate, she noted that her life in the Playboy house significantly impacted her later years with issues like depression.
Kendra Wilkinson Implores Her Followers For Respect Amid Her Alcohol Detox

On December 4, Wilkinson updated her Instagram Story with a picture of her bare face. The selfie, taken in her car, captured the entertainer's flawless skin as she flashed a small smile at the camera.
Wilkinson captioned the post with a greeting and a warning to her followers, writing: "Rise and grind [sun emoji] Please respect my alcohol detox, people. If you're my friend or follower, i hope you do or [four middle finger emojis]."
The update comes 11 months after Wilkinson addressed the criticisms about her weight and concerns about her drinking. On January 12, she posted two pictures of herself posing in front of a mirror and captioned them with a lengthy message about self-love and acceptance.
Hugh Hefner's Former Girlfriend Loves Her New Self

In her message to fans, Wilkinson acknowledged that she was no longer the reality TV star many came to know while she was living with Hefner and the other Playboy girlfriends. "But for once in a long time, I feel good and mentally healthy," she stressed.
"For those of you hating on my new weight, 40-year-old face, please know that I'm happy, healthy, and at peace in life, finally," Wilkinson continued.
She implored critics to leave her alone and accept that she was no longer her past self, which wasn't a bad thing in her book. Wilkinson raved about finally being in a phase where she felt "all together" and "amazing," crediting her work-life routine for keeping her balanced.
Regarding the concerns about her alcohol intake, she confessed that it would "be monitored better;" however, she had no plans on starting soon because shots were needed in June.

Despite imploring critics to respect her current self and stop with the body shaming, Wilkinson was forced to address the hate again in October. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she had received unflattering comments for her wardrobe choices.
The trolling began after Wilkinson posted a picture of herself in a vintage top and high-waist trousers while posing beside her real estate sign. "I know a lot didn't like this photo, but I do. I think it represents me and what I'm doing nowadays to a T," she began her caption.
Wilkinson noted that she was "so happy" with her current self because she had evolved into who she wanted to be. She expressed pride in her job as a real estate agent while poking fun at herself for not having "the greatest fashion sense." Nonetheless, she chose to feel good about herself rather than look like she was going to a photoshoot.

Wilkinson's confidence and refusal to be affected by critics might stem from her recovery from a crippling mental health battle. She was hospitalized after suffering a panic attack in September 2023 following an overwhelming battle with depression.
The media personality broke her silence about the emotional ordeal in a January 2024 interview with PEOPLE, revealing she "had hit rock bottom" when she suffered a panic attack. Wilkinson explained that she had been dying from depression and once saw no end in sight to her suffering.
"I was hitting the end of my life, and I went into psychosis. I felt like I wasn't strong enough to live anymore," Wilkinson confessed. She stressed that her time with Hefner played a key role in her depression, claiming it was difficult to look back on her 20s because Playboy had messed up her life.
Kendra Wilkinson Had To Face Her Demons And Seek Help

At the lowest point of her life, Wilkinson felt like she could not see past her depression and stopped trying to live. In the weeks leading up to her 2023 hospitalization, she had stopped eating and sleeping, as negative thoughts haunted her mind.
Wilkinson admitted that she was plagued with thoughts such as how she would succeed as a single mom of two children. Besides the demons from her Playboy past, she also felt ashamed about the end of her marriage to Hank Baskett.
Although she felt isolated and alone, with no one on her side, Wilkinson finally asked for help when her panic attack hit in September 2023. She recalled asking her ex-husband to take her to the hospital, where she eventually began facing her past in outpatient therapy at UCLA.
