Matthew Perry's parents have issued strong words for his doctor, who is set to be sentenced on drug-related charges.

Perry's mother and stepfather, Suzanne and Keith Morrison, described his doctor, Salvador Placenscia, as "the most culpable of all" in the actor's death. Similarly, the actor's father and stepmother, John and Debby Perry, also criticized his doctor with some harsh words.

Earlier this year, Dr. Placensia pleaded guilty to one count of distributing ketamine in connection with Matthew Perry's death and has now been sentenced to 2.5 years behind bars.

In victim impact letters obtained by Rolling Stone, Perry's parents expressed their "grief" over their son's death while condemning those involved in his overdose death.

"Here was a life so entwined with ours and held aloft sometimes with duct tape and bailing wire, with anything that might keep that big terrible thing from killing our first-born son, and our hearts with him," Suzanne and Keith Morrison said of their son.

"And then those greedy jackals come out of the dark, and all the effort is for nought; it all crashes down," they added.

Perry's parents went on to single out the actor's doctor, Placenscia, who was later sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for his part in the tragic demise of the "Friends" star.

They branded him as "among the most culpable of all," seemingly referencing the doctor's admission of selling Ketamine to Perry and injecting him with the substance.

The Couple Believes The Actor Deserved A 'Third Act'

Reflecting further on their loss, the Morrisons expressed their sadness over their son not getting the "third act" he deserved after years of struggling with drugs and alcohol addiction.

"His story moved so many people. And he wanted, needed, deserved… a third act. It was... in the planning. And then, those jackals," they wrote.

They then doubled down on their criticism of Placenscia, pointing out his greed and citing one of the messages from the doctor's phone that was used as evidence.

"No one alive and in touch with the world at all could have been unaware of Matthew's struggles. But this doctor conspired to break his most important vows, repeatedly, sneaked through the night to meet his victim in secret," the Morrisons added.

"For what, a few thousand dollars? So he could feed on the vulnerability of our son…and crow, as he did so, with that revealing question: 'I wonder how much this moron will pay. Let's find out.' Some things are very hard to understand," the couple further critiqued.

Matthew's father and stepmother, John and Debby Perry, also penned an emotional victim impact statement where they heaped praises on the late actor.

"[Matthew was] a warm, loving man who was to be our rock as we aged. An uncle to our grandchildren and the mountain his siblings could turn to. Our next patriarch," the duo wrote.

They also urged the court to throw the book at his doctor while slamming him for neglecting his ethical duties to their son.

"Whatever were you thinking? How long did you possibly see supplying Matthew countless doses without his death to eventually follow? Did you care? Did you think?" the couple asked.

They added, "How many more people have you harmed that we don't know about? We ask the court to give you plenty of time to think about your actions by extending your sentence beyond the mandatory time."

Placenscia was set to go on trial in August, but signed a plea deal in July with the prosecutors.

The plea deal allowed him to escape three additional ketamine distribution counts and two falsifying records charges, which he was previously facing.

Still, the disgraced doctor faced up to 10 years in prison for his crimes. However, on December 3, the judge sentenced Placensia to 30 months in prison, which is around 2.5 years behind bars.

For his sentencing, Placensia donned a navy blue suit and looked somber as he made his way to court to learn his fate.

Like Plasencia, three of the four other individuals charged in connection with Perry's death have previously reached separate plea deals with prosecutors.

This includes Dr. Mark Chavez, whom Plasencia admitted to enlisting, as well as Perry's personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, and a friend, Erik Flemming.

Chavez and Flemming are expected to be sentenced on January 7, while Iwamasa's sentencing will be held a little later on January 14.

As for Jasveen Sangha, infamously known as the "Ketamine Queen," and who is presumed to have been the main supplier, she will be sentenced later this month after pleading guilty to five out of the nine criminal charges against her in September.
