The sensational singer broke her silence after her future father-in-law shared news of her engagement to his son on Instagram. Before the update, fans were left guessing the status of the couple's relationship after spotting the gorgeous ring.

Cyrus sat down for an interview with Chris Connelly on ABC's "Good Morning America" to discuss her engagement to Morando. A clip of their discussion was shared on the show's YouTube page on Wednesday, December 3.
When Connelly asked if there were more congratulations in order for Cyrus following the release of her new song for "Avatar: Fire and Ash," she happily declared yes and confirmed her engagement to Morando.
"My life has been perfectly aligned with the release of 'Avatar,' my personal life -- those two things kind of, I guess you could say, marrying each other and harmonizing with one another," Cyrus said about the timing of the proposal.

When Connelly asked for more details, Cyrus confirmed that Morando had gotten down on one knee to propose during their recent trip to Asia. She noted that he had beaten her at her own game by shocking her with the sweet gesture.
"I am not easy to surprise, because I love to control every situation. And I had completely surrendered…And I'm telling you, I was so, so, so surprised," Cyrus confessed. She flaunted the ring on her left finger while noting Morando "did good" by choosing the design.
As for how the proposal "perfectly aligned" with her career, Cyrus revealed that she got a burst of inspiration after they returned from their trip to create the soundtrack for "Avatar." She claimed that at the heart of the franchise were "relationships, love, [and] having each other's back," themes that resonated with her life.

When Connelly asked if she and Morando "Dream As One" like the title of her new song, Cyrus wasted no time saying "yes!" She explained that she and her fiancé had been together for four years, with the drummer supporting her through her "drastic amount of growth" during that period.
"You just want to dream the biggest you can, and you want to have someone by your side that always tells you you can do it," Cyrus added. Her love for Morando continued, with the singer gushing about how much of a "great partner" he was in supporting her growth.

According to a report by The Blast, several jewelry experts have weighed in on the design and price tag of Cyrus's engagement ring. Francesca Simons, who represents jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, confirmed the gem was the designer's handiwork.
Simons noted the ring was a custom creation featuring a cushion-cut stone set on a thick 14-karat gold band. The unique east-west bezel style was made to fit Cyrus's brand. Regarding the price, jewelry expert Daniela Tarantino believed it was worth between $300,000 and $450,000.
Reyne Hirsch, a former Antiques Roadshow appraiser, gave it a lower estimate, believing Cyrus's ring would cost around $150,000 to $250,000, depending on the stone's color and clarity. Kristy Cullinane, a diamond expert, estimated the value to be "$200,000+ for a mined diamond or $15,000 for a lab-grown diamond."
