The festive period is a time of togetherness for most people, except Gwyneth Paltrow.
The actress recently opened up about her love for the holidays, noting that while she looks forward to Christmas, her husband, Brad Falchuk, on the other hand, doesn’t. As such, this has made the holidays somewhat lonely for her, despite being surrounded by her family.
Paltrow and Falchuk have been married since 2018, and although they don’t have any children together, they both have kids from their previous marriages.
Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About Her ‘Grinch’ Husband

In the most recent episode of Paltrow’s “Goop” podcast, the 53-year-old actress got honest about the bittersweet feelings she experiences during Christmas.
She explained that she loves Christmas and always looks forward to all the festive activities. However, her husband, who is her polar opposite, does not care for the holiday.
“My husband is a little bit of a Grinch, so he’s the opposite. But I love the decorations, I love the Frank Sinatra Christmas album. I really get into the holiday spirit… Brad is the worst. He hates Christmas music, he hates Christmas decorations, he hates roast turkey, like, he hates the traditional dinner,” she said.
While Paltrow counts down the days until Christmas, her husband can't wait for it to be over. “I feel very alone in my house in my love for Christmas, although all the kids love it, so they’re on my side,” she said.
Despite Falchuk's disinterest in Christmas, Paltrow still tries her best to make her home feel as festive as possible. She revealed that she celebrates Christmas, Hanukkah, and Boxing Day with her children.
“We do Christmas and Hanukkah. We have a really fun Christmas morning. We usually take a long time to open presents and then have a long walk on the beach and, you know, eat and stay in pajamas,” she said.
The Actress’s Husband Reportedly Spiraled Over Her Biography’s Sex Claims

Paltrow’s Holiday confession comes almost four months after her unauthorized biography left her husband feeling bitter. The book, “Gwyneth: The Biography,” was written by Amy Odell and contained the actress’s alleged confessions about her sex life.
This reportedly upset Falchuk because it painted Paltrow’s former lovers in a positive light. The memoir claimed that she often raved about her relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, allegedly confessing that she had “major chemistry” with the former and a great sex life with the latter.
According to The Blast, a source noted that Falchuk disliked the details about his wife’s sex life and he couldn’t “help but feel triggered.”
A Look At Gwyneth Paltrow And Brad Falchuk’s Relationship Timeline

Despite allegations that Paltrow thoroughly enjoyed her time with Pitt and Affleck, she didn’t get married to either of them. The “Iron Man” actress was married to Chris Martin from 2003 to 2016, and within that period, she met Falchuk, whom she eventually married.
Paltrow and Falchuk met on the set of “Holly Holliday” in 2010. However, they didn’t start dating until 2014.
Years later, Falchuk gushed about their connection, saying, "She's stunning, and she's charming, and she's completely disarming. We had similar enough backgrounds — a little bit Jewish, a little bit East Coast, her dad was a TV producer — and so we just sort of developed this really lovely friendship," per People Magazine.
The duo went public with their relationship in 2015 and reportedly got engaged in 2017. A year later, they tied the knot, surrounded by 70 of their closest friends in the Hamptons, New York. Afterwards, they went on an intimate honeymoon and moved in together.
Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About Struggles With Anxiety

Despite Paltrow’s seemingly perfect life post-marriage to Falchuk, the actress struggles with anxiety. A few weeks ago, she revealed that she has developed anxiety, which is new for her, because she has never had to deal with it before.
“I have a lot of anxiety for the very first time in my life, which is just a symptom of hormonal changes,” she said, per The Blast.
She also added that living a “very intense life in the public eye” further contributed to the anxious feelings she had because she often found herself affected by the public’s opinion of her.
Moving forward, Paltrow decided to see a therapist and a nervous system specialist to help with her struggles.
The Businesswoman’s Daughter Recently Launched Her Music Career

Paltrow’s confession about anxiety came a few weeks after her daughter, Apple Martin, made her debut in the music industry.
According to The Blast, Apple collaborated with Jade Street to release a video for their song, "Satellites." However, the youngster’s debut was met with heavy criticism from fans, who claimed that she was talentless.
One harsh critique wrote that Apple “didn’t inherit her dad [Chris Martin’s] talent,” and another wrote that “the apple fell far from the tree.”
