An official statement released by the Lane County Sheriff's Office has brought some clarity to the events that led to Bryan and his girlfriend's arrest.

On November 29, at 12:30 pm, authorities responded to a report of reckless endangerment. The report directed them to a popular camping area northeast of Lowell in the area of Big Fall Creek Road.

At the scene, they gathered that the actor and his lover, Cartwright, were driving together with their three young children. For reasons unknown, the TV star got out of the truck and began walking on Big Fall Creek Road.

The Actor Was Not Suppose To Be In Contact With His Girlfriend

The deputies who interviewed the couple after arriving at the scene noted that the duo was impaired. Upon further investigation, they discovered that Bryan was not supposed to be in contact with Cartwright.

Due to this discovery, he was arrested for a probation violation on an original charge of assault in the fourth degree following a domestic violence conviction in 2023. Since both parents were taken into custody, the children were then handed over to a family member.

Bryan was denied bail and would remain behind bars until Wednesday, December 3, 2025. His fiancée, on the other hand, had her arraignment scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2025. More information about the outcome of the arraignment is yet to be disclosed.

Inside The 'Home Improvement' Star's Previous Domestic Violence Case

Bryan was previously arrested in Oregon in 2020 after an explosive, drunken argument with his beau. For this, he initially faced several charges before being convicted only of menacing and sentenced to probation.

As reported by The Blast, he claims that the situation had been dramatized and that they did not get too physical as perceived. He said in an interview that they were loud, and because of the thin walls in the townhome where they lodged, everyone could hear them.

This was not the first incident allegedly connecting the actor to physical altercations. Court documents revealed that Bryan was accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend in the summer of 2025.

The legal documents state the TV star reportedly hit his partner after she "bit his nipple" while they were cuddling. He then allegedly punched her in the head and also threatened to end her life.

The Child Actor Publicly Admitted His Wrongs

Following the domestic violence allegations and case, a court granted Bryan's ex-partner a five-year restraining order. The '90s actor made a public statement where he admitted that he "deeply" regrets the situation. He also acknowledged that domestic violence in any form is unacceptable.

The Blast noted that not only did Bryan accept his faults in this case, but he also acknowledged the adverse effects his actions had on his children. "Being labeled a 'bad dad' cuts deep because my children are my world, and I know I've fallen short," the actor said.

Bryan revealed that he battles with personal struggles even in his career. He further attributed his mishaps and woes to the aftermath of early fame, addiction, and poor decision-making.

Early this year, Bryan was faced with a financial crisis, which resulted in him being sued by investor/singer Cameron Moore. The actor's residuals were seized to cover a significant judgment of $108,000 from the breach of contract lawsuit.

The lawsuit was initiated in 2021, with Moore alleging that Bryan, as CEO of Lost Lane LLC, failed to repay him the $60,000 he contributed for the production of the film "Warning."

As reported, Moore was promised a return on his investment with interest, and Bryan personally assured him of the repayment. But the actor did not stick to his end of the bargain.

The TV star claimed he was broke and unable to pay the debt; hence, Moore requested the court to issue an order to seize all royalties owed to the actor until the $108,000 debt was fully paid off.
