Kandi Burruss Arms Herself With Bravo Receipts As Prenup Battle Heats Up

Kandi Burruss is countering Todd Tucker's claims with real-time proof!

The reality star has decided to go into the next phase of her legal tussle with her estranged husband with evidence from their time on the set of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are currently in the middle of a heated divorce following her move to end the marriage in court last month after 11 years together as a couple.

The Bravo star responded to her ex-husband's claim that he signed the prenup without his legal team at the scene and hence wanted the judge to invalidate their prenup. Burruss claimed in her amended divorce petition that Tucker's claim that the prenup was unenforceable.

Since the drama around their prenup happened on the "RHOA" spinoff for Burruss's wedding, and now she is telling the judge to review tapes from the scenes in the series. Burruss's lawyers affirmed that:

"The parties' journey to executing an enforceable Prenuptial Agreement was filmed and broadcast on Bravo television network, with the knowledge and consent of both [Burruss] and [Tucker], for their five-part reality television wedding documentary entitled Burruss's Wedding that premiered on June 1, 2014."

As shared by US Weekly, Burruss's lawyer also referenced a specific moment from the show's spinoff where her estranged husband announced on the show that he was good to sign the prenup after talking to his lawyers on and off the cameras.

Prior to the prenup case becoming a thing, Tucker was in court late November with a response to Burruss's divorce petition by requesting that their two kids be placed in his care.

He claimed that the former reality TV queen was always occupied with work, which mostly takes her outside the state and away from their children for months. Tucker noted that he and the reality TV alum have been working together to find a resolution around this issue and hopefully find a middle ground.

However, he left a caveat that if agreement seemed impossible, he would pursue primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority alongside his initial demands.

"Tucker wishes to make clear that he recognizes Burruss as a loving and capable parent and remains sincerely hopeful that prior and continued discussions between the parties will bring full resolution of all matters," the filing stated.

The father of two, in his filing, insisted that he was made to sign the prenup without legal counsel in sight right before their wedding ceremony.

As reported by The Blast, Tucker insisted that his legal team had, however, been involved in the negotiation process from the beginning, and were completely sidelined at the point of making the final decision.

Tucker's legal team added that they had strong reservations about the conditions surrounding how he signed the prenuptial agreement and queried if such a document could still be enforced.

Despite their objection, Tucker's team emphasized that he was willing to settle the matter as amicably and as privately as possible. In addition to this, Tucker further requested a division of all their marital assets, both real and personal, tangible and intangible, between the parties. 

Burruss's decision to part ways with her estranged husband dropped days after BravoCon, reflecting a swift shift from her body language and speech at the event, where she picked up the "Wifetime Achievement Award" and praised Tucker.

As noted by The Blast, Burruss admitted that the decision was far from an easy one for her, but the well-being of their kids remained a priority for her. She raved about what the new chapter in her life had for her and how expectant she was of the great things that would happen.

Burruss expressed gratitude for stepping into a new chapter of her life, which will give her a chance to pour into her work, her family, and her own growth. She thanked everyone who had supported them over the years, while asking for understanding and privacy to navigate the situation.

Following the divorce news, the former couple was also slammed with another scandal involving back rent debts owed by their joint business, Burruss Tucker Restaurant Group.

Although the divorce had been lurking behind the corner, no thanks to their unending issues during the course of the union, Burruss admitted that hitting the nail on the head did not make her feel any better.

She confessed that her emotions were completely shattered over the divorce, with each day being unpredictable and filled with challenging experiences. The former reality star continued that she also gets brief moments of sadness where she feels overwhelmed and keeps away from everyone.

Burruss admitted that her real life was different from what was portrayed on TV, and despite showing vulnerability on the screen at certain times, those were not moments she would have loved to be made public.

Her kids are also reportedly on the same page with her decisions to part ways with Tucker, and together they have been making the process as seamless as possible.
