Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘Aggressive’ Nature Leads To Brutal Legal War In Will Smith’s Inner Circle

Jada Pinkett Smith has been dragged into legal hot water following an accusation made by one of her husband’s closest friends. 

The actress is being sued for allegedly threatening to harm someone in Will Smith’s inner circle in an incident that took place over four years ago. 

Jada and Will are allegedly living apart. However, they were spotted enjoying a lunch date when they stepped out for a rare outing in September. 

A lawsuit filed on November 7 alleges that one Bilaal Salaam was on the receiving end of verbal threats and accusations made by Jada Pinkett Smith.

The plaintiff described himself as “Will’s best friend for nearly 40 years” and alleged that Jada launched a verbal war on him during the actor's birthday party in September 2021.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, the incident took place in the lobby of the Regency Calabasas Common, during which Jada allegedly warned Salaam to stop spreading information about her or risk bearing the consequences of his actions.

“While in the lobby, Jada Pinkett Smith approached Plaintiff with approximately seven members of her entourage, became verbally aggressive, and threatened Plaintiff by stating that if he continued ‘telling her personal business,’ he would ‘end up missing or catch a bullet,’ and demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) ‘or else,'” it stated. 

It further stated that the Plaintiff was allegedly followed to his car by someone in Jada’s entourage, and the individual continued making threats against him. 

In addition to claims of verbal abuse, the plaintiff also alleged that he was asked to help the Smiths manage the crises that arose when Will slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. 

However, he refused to yield to the requests because he didn’t want to do things he “believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising.” As a result, a “retaliatory campaign” was launched against him. 

The plaintiff also sued the 54-year-old actress for “intentional infliction of emotional distress” because she denied seeing Will engage in any sexual behaviour with men. Meanwhile, Salaam had allegedly released a video that contradicted this claim. 

“This was a false denial, as Plaintiff had already released a viral video showing Will Smith groping Alfonso Ribeiro (including his pen-s, n-pple, and butt-cks) in front of Defendant and her children, who were visibly present,” the documents stated. 

Salaam alleged that Jada’s denial was a direct attempt to discredit him and cause “public ridicule and loss of credibility.” He also alleged that Jada’s manager threatened him by asking him to figure it out and “end this feud before you get physically hurt.” 

As a result of the claims, he allegedly suffered financial losses amid the deterioration of his health and reputation. 

News of the bombshell lawsuit comes almost three months after Jada and Will made a rare outing together in California. They looked comfortable in each other’s company, blissfully unaware of Salaam’s impending lawsuit. 

As reported by The Blast, Jada donned a strapless dress with gold accessories and sunglasses, while the 57-year-old actor wore khaki shorts, a white shirt, and a white baseball cap.

The duo was captured getting into a white Lamborghini as they headed for a lunch date at Nobu, Malibu. 

Jada and Will’s outing to Nobu was considered rare, as they are said to be living apart. However, despite living in separate homes, they are reportedly still married and are very much still together. 

“Call it what you want. They are living their own lives but haven't completely severed ties," a source said, per The Blast.

Another insider also noted that the couple is “still together” but “have had separate homes for years.” 

Despite living in separate homes, Will still reportedly takes care of the bills for his house and Jada’s, and this has caused a big hit to his finances. 

The Blast reported that “The Pursuit of Happyness” actor reportedly sold his five-bedroom mansion in Maryland for $795,000 to offset some outstanding bills. He has also reportedly listed his house in Woodland Hills for $2 million. 

An insider predicted that Will and Jada may not be able to survive the mounting financial pressure as their lifestyles are reportedly becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
