Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's final divorce settlement includes splitting each other's retirement funds.

Their financial agreement arrived after years of strain. Just last August, their divorce battle grew so heated that it pulled in their partners, Tatum's vacation with then-fiancée Zoë Kravitz was disrupted, and Dewan's fiancé Steve Kazee was named as a witness.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan first filed for divorce in 2018, and after countless delays and courtroom tension, they finally settled in September 2024.

While the former couple had already figured out child support and divided most of their assets, one significant element of their settlement is now surfacing, and it is a big one. The pair agreed to share a portion of each other's retirement benefits, tying their financial futures together long after their marriage ended.

Court filings show that the value of those benefits hinges on a formula that measures how much pension credit they earned during their marriage from 2009 to 2018 versus their complete career totals.

It is still unclear how much that ultimately adds up to, but the structure makes it clear this was not a small decision. In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Tatum and Dewan signed off on a clean 50/50 split of their Screen Actors Guild–Producers Pension Plan benefits.

A year after the former pair finally closed the chapter on their long, tangled divorce, Tatum opens up about the emotional toll of his breakup with Dewan.

The Blast reports that in an interview, the actor reflected on how his newest role in "Roofman" did not require much emotional stretching. The feelings, he admitted, were already familiar. Tatum said he and Dewan are in a better place now, but the end of their relationship was rough. In his words:

"Jenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young."

He noted that they spent more than a year trying to hold things together before realizing it was not working. Their once-friendly separation in 2018 eventually spiraled into years of legal back-and-forth.

This is not the first time Tatum has opened up about the slow, difficult realization that their relationship had reached its end. He previously spoke with Vanity Fair in 2023, revealing that they spent years fighting for their marriage despite feeling themselves drift in different directions.

Tatum admitted they clung to a version of their story that no longer matched real life, especially once they became parents and their contrasting approaches became impossible to ignore.

The process, he said, pushed him into a level of personal growth he might not have reached otherwise. "I don't think I would've ever done the work on myself in the way that I had to do the work on myself to really try to figure out what's next," he noted.

Dewan is stepping into her next chapter with confidence, and she is making sure her fans feel that strength too. The Blast notes that, despite the headline-making news of her and Tatum splitting their retirement benefits evenly, she appears more than content with where she stands.

The actress posted a serene photo of herself soaking up the sunlight, clad in a green-and-white floral outfit. But it was her caption that made waves. Dewan wrote, "There is no greater force than a woman who stands in her power, who knows her worth."

She went on to highlight the importance of recognizing one's contributions, telling followers never to minimize their own effort or value. Dewan wrapped her message with a reminder to have compassion for each other.

Even though things appear calm now that Tatum and Dewan have finalized their settlement, it is worth remembering just how deeply their divorce seeped into their personal lives, including the lives of their partners.

The Blast highlighted that while the former pair fought over profits from Tatum's "Magic Mike" empire, Tatum planned to question Dewan's fiancé, Steve Kazee, about their "cohabitation, joint expenses, and all related matters."

Kazee, who began dating Dewan in 2018 and proposed in 2020, had already completed a deposition in March 2024 but was still expected to testify again during trial proceedings.

He was not the only one pulled into the storm. Tatum's then-fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, also felt the impact. Their luxury getaway at Taylor Swift's Rhode Island mansion was disrupted when Tatum had to pause their vacation to confront urgent legal filings.

Good luck to Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan!
