The latest episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians" series took fans back in time to Kim's preparations for the 2025 Met Gala. She told cameras that her oldest daughter, North West, had visited her the night before the highly anticipated event to cheer her up.

The mother of four recalled that North came into her bedroom with flowers and a balloon that read "Good Luck," before the scene changed to show their conversation. Kim confessed to her oldest daughter that the sweet gesture meant a lot because she was worried about her Met Gala appearance.

Kim wasn't confident about her Chrome Hearts black leather dress and received a rare motivational note from North, who said, "What's the worst that could happen? People hate on your outfit? They do that every year. You just have to go - that's it."

North's statement showcased the pre-teen's growth, as she was once Kim's biggest fashion critic. The Daily Mail covered some of her past criticisms, reporting that she compared her mother's 2021 Met Gala outfit to a "plastic bag" and her 2023 ensemble to something found at the dollar store.

In the past, Kim confessed that she did not take North's fashion criticism seriously; however, it stung to get roasted by a young girl. Her stance has since morphed into pride, with the episode capturing her raving about her oldest daughter's growth.

"You're my motivating factor," Kim told North after her touching gesture. She also raved about her oldest daughter during an interview at the Met Gala, noting that North was still "a big critiquer" of her outfits but she had learned how to soften her blows.

"She's also in a really positive place right now, where it's just like, 'Hey, even if that's not my style, I'm not going to critique that, just be you, and if you like that, then that's what you should be into," Kim said. 

North wasn't just a prominent fashion critic but a young girl bursting with creativity that some found concerning whenever she expressed it in her fashion choices. The Blast shared that Kim was on the receiving end of the internet's wrath after her daughter rocked a corset.

The drama began after the pre-teen starred in a TikTok video with her mom, unveiling her bright blue hair while wearing a black corset top and a mini skirt. Many found the post concerning due to North's outfit and the use of Destroy Lonely's "If Looks Could Kill" song as the video's soundtrack.

Critics slammed Kim for allowing her daughter to wear outfits not suitable for young girls and listening to explicit lyrics, but the doting mom defended her decision.

She stressed on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that her daughter was well-behaved despite her fashion choices, and she "would never take that creativity away from her."

Days after Kim defended North's fashion choices, The Blast shared that the pre-teen raised more eyebrows after posting a TikTok with her friends. The video showed her rocking fake piercings and facial tattoos, with her pals matching the theme.

Many were outraged by the post because North also donned black grillz over her teeth, bright blue contacts, and a collection of silver chains. Critics claimed she looked unrecognizable and nothing like a pre-teen, wondering why Kim didn't caution her daughter.

In a separate post, North captured the group's trip on a private plane to a concert, causing more critics to argue that they weren't behaving like normal kids their age. She sparked similar criticisms in 2024 when Kim posted a picture of her playing dress-up with her diamond accessories.

Although Kim and North frequently faced backlash, there were times their actions resonated with fans. The Blast reported in 2023 that the mother-daughter duo had received love from the internet over a scam.

Kim revealed in an interview that North would scam people close to her or her mom out of money while running her lemonade stand. "If a random person stops, she will charge them only $2. If she knows you, she will fully scam you," she said.

The mother of four noted that she had received calls from friends who reported North for charging them $20 for a cup of lemonade. "She'll grab their $20 and say, 'I don't have any change,'" Kim explained. The revelation sparked support from fans, who applauded North for being a good businesswoman.
