Taylor Swift And Hugh Jackman Linked To Justin Baldoni And Ryan Reynolds' Tense Exchange In New Court Docs

Newly unsealed court documents reveal that Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were present during a tense moment between Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni at his NYC home with Blake Lively.

During said gathering, Reynolds allegedly accused Baldoni of fat-shaming Lively, leaving the director "emotionally paralyzed."

Blale Lively sued Justin Baldoni in December 2024 for sexual harassment, and Baldoni hit back at his former co-star with a recently dismissed $400 million lawsuit.

Court documents, part of Blake Lively's ongoing legal action, reveal that Swift, 35, and Jackman, 57, were present during a tense April 25, 2023, confrontation at Reynolds and Lively's New York City penthouse.

According to People Magazine, the filings, which include a timeline sent by Wayfarer Studios co-founder Jamey Heath's team to Justin Baldoni's publicist in July 2024, detail Reynolds allegedly confronting Baldoni about questions he asked regarding Lively's weight on the set of "It Ends With Us."

Reynolds reportedly accused Baldoni of "fat-shaming" Lively, leaving Baldoni embarrassed, apologetic, and reportedly in tears.

Baldoni claims Reynolds confronted him angrily, saying, "How dare you f-cking ask about my wife's weight? What's wrong with you?"

His attorneys added that the encounter left him feeling compelled to apologize repeatedly. In a separate January 2024 meeting, Reynolds was described as "angry, stern, and impassioned," though not aggressively berating Baldoni, according to his lawyer.

The filings also allege that Baldoni used "back-channel ways of criticizing [Lively's] body and weight" during filming, including contacting her personal trainer to suggest she should lose weight within two weeks.

Baldoni's attorneys defended this, saying he asked about "what Lively weighed so that he could train his back muscles in preparation for a lift scene," citing his history of lifelong back injuries.

The January 2024 texts, sent by Baldoni to actor Rainn Wilson, further describe the encounter at Reynolds and Lively's apartment.

Baldoni said he felt "emotionally paralyzed" during the meeting, which was triggered by Lively's concerns, and recounted that Reynolds "was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me," adding that he was told that he and Jamey Heath were "not who we claimed to be" and that their podcast made people feel unsafe.

He reflected, "It's hard to feel so much of what they believe about me is false because they are so convinced that it's real. ... I was emotionally paralyzed, which is something I haven't experienced in years."

The documents come months after Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and others, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation.

Baldoni has since denied the claims, with their trial set for March 2026, and Swift and Jackman named as potential witnesses.

Jackman has publicly supported Lively, attending the New York premiere of "It Ends With Us" on August 9, 2024, posing alongside her and Reynolds, and appearing with the "Gossip Girl" actress on Vogue's September 2024 cover.

Meanwhile, Swift's involvement has been clarified repeatedly as being limited to the licensing of one of her songs. She also made no red carpet appearances alongside Lively to help promote the film.

Swift's team emphasized she had no role in the film's production, casting, editing, or creative decisions, and she only licensed one song, "My Tears Ricochet."

Her spokesperson stressed that the popstar "never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release."

They also criticized attempts to link her to the controversy, and emphasized that her name has been used "to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."

Amid the ongoing legal battle with Baldoni, Lively and Reynolds enjoyed a rare night out together. On Wednesday, the 38-year-old actress shared a time-lapse on Instagram of herself styling her hair with her Blake Brown products.

Later, she posted a selfie with the "Deadpool" star taken on the streets of New York City.

Lively captioned the post, "Puttin' y night out hair to good use," adding, "I spy the Empire Hotel. Iukuk [if you know, you know]."

In the photo, the couple smiled for the camera, with Lively flashing an open-mouthed grin and Reynolds sporting a subtle smirk.

For the evening, Lively wore her long hair down in loose waves and complemented her look with a berry-colored lip. Her shoulders were draped in a black garment, and she accessorized with an ornate statement necklace.
