Meghan Trainor has opened up on the emotional toll the negative comments surrounding her weight loss journey had on her.

The "Made You Look" singer has lost more than 60lbs through regular exercise, modifications to her diet, and taking the weight-loss drug Mounjaro. However, Internet trolls slammed her heavily when she revealed she'd resorted to the miracle drug to help her see the fluctuations in her weight.

Appearing on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," the 31-year-old singer admitted that some of the comments greatly affected her, per the Daily Mail.

"It felt like a flame lit off, and I was just getting attacked by so many mean comments," she said.

"Usually, I don't get a lot of mean comments, or I don't look at them, and they don't faze me. But these ones were so aggressive. They're like, 'You were the bass girl, why are you thin now?'" she continued.

She added, "It was very confusing, and it broke my heart."

Fans had noted that the "All About That Bass" singer had massively reduced from what she used to look like, sparking rumors that she'd subscribe to Hollywood's miracle drug craze. Back in April, she laid the rumors to rest, revealing that she indeed used minor doses of the drug.

"No, I don't look like I did 10 years ago. I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," she said.

She continued, "I've worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I'm so glad I did because I feel great."

According to the Daily Mail, Trainor, who's currently promoting her new album "Toy With Me," admitted that she struggles to share the sentiment on the first single "Still Don't Care," which was inspired by the trolls coming for her.

"I wish I thought like this, that I don't care about what anyone thinks and I'm gonna be me," she said.

She became so "obsessed" with her health after contracting gestational diabetes while pregnant with her son, Barry, whom she shares with husband Daryl Sabara. She added that she's now dutiful at taking care of her gut health and hormone levels to "feel good," as she noted that "this job is hard to do if you don't feel good."

Addressing the online talks, she noted that the comments left her "rattled" as she admitted she didn't see it coming during a chat with Los Angeles radio station KBIG, per the Daily Mail.

"It's weird - I'm finally so proud of myself and starting to love myself, and I've never gotten more hate," she explained. "I was confused, lost, really sad, and heartbroken that I took care of myself, but everyone's angry."

She was only able to weather the storm through the help of her loved ones and her therapist, who told her she was given the trolls "so much power."

Trainor is now ready to put the negative episode behind her ahead of a busy 2026. She announced her 7th studio album a couple of weeks ago and has already made waves with the first single "Still Don't Care."

Speaking on the project ahead of its release, she told People Magazine, "My page is usually a friendly, happy, mom-loving place, but it took a dark turn."

She continued, "People started commenting about my body, saying I'm too thin, and that they don't recognize me anymore. And I was like, 'Oh, I've just been focusing so hard on my health and my fitness that I've never felt better.' So, I was confused and sad and was like, 'Oh, it's almost worse now.' I don't know what happened."

Meanwhile, the negative comments seem to have inspired Trainor to keep going hard at the gym as she's set to go on the "Get In Girl tour," which kicks off in Michigan in June 2026 and ends in L.A. on August 15.

"I'm going to do dance lessons. I'm going to be very fit. We're going to be jumping, dancing," she said of the tour.

Trainor continued, "It's going to be a party, but it's a party for everyone, for kids, for adults, for grandparents. I love when I see grandparents in the crowd. I love when the dads sing every word. I go, 'Yeah, Dad.' It's my favorite."
