OnlyFans creator Madi Ruve has turned a wave of online criticism into one of the biggest holiday charity surprises Southern California has seen this year.

The 22-year-old star stunned shoppers and store employees alike after spending more than $63,000 to buy out toy aisles at four Walmart locations.

What began as pushback against her critics quickly became a massive act of generosity for thousands of children.

Madi Ruve Turns Online Criticism Into Holiday Charity Fuel

For Madi Ruve, the inspiration behind her headline-making project came from people questioning her value beyond her online persona.

She admitted that negative commentary sparked her desire to act.

“If people want to say I’m a bad role model, fine,” she told The Blast. “But at the end of the day, I bought out four entire toy sections for kids who would have had nothing. That matters.”

Her “Not All Heroes Wear Clothes” holiday initiative took her and her team across Compton, Panorama City, Long Beach, and Van Nuys.

At every stop, they stacked carts high with dolls, board games, puzzles, LEGO sets, arts and crafts supplies, and remote-control toys, everything aimed at children ages 2 to 12.

“We didn’t cherry-pick. We cleared everything,” she said. “Every toy shelf, every item for kids ages 2 to 12, gone. In a good way.”

Store workers described the scene as surreal. One Walmart manager confirmed each location’s haul cost between $14,000 and $17,000, adding that some toy aisles had to be temporarily shut down to restock.

A staff member at the Compton store recalled the moment vividly. “It was surreal watching her walk in and just start piling up toys, she probably filled 10 carts,” the employee said. “Most people don’t do that. Not at this scale.”

Once purchased, the toys were handed over to local nonprofits, including foster programs, shelters, and community churches, to ensure they reached families who need them most.

Ruve emphasized her intentions were genuine. “This isn’t a stunt,” she said. “It’s about kids waking up to something they didn’t expect. It’s about joy.”

A Year After Going Viral, Madi Ruve Fires Back At Critics

This major charity effort comes a year after Ruve found herself in the middle of a viral gym confrontation, where a man challenged her for filming a workout.

Some online commenters accused her of attention-seeking, but Ruve pushed back hard at the time.

“People love to judge,” she said. “But I’m using what I earn to help people. You don’t have to like how I make my money, but don’t ignore what I’m doing with it.”

Her decision to amplify her giving this year seems to be a direct response to those criticisms, channeling controversy into concrete impact.

Ruve insists her holiday campaign is about more than toys; it's about breaking stereotypes and showing that generosity can come from unexpected places.

She hopes her move will inspire others to give however they can.

“If I can turn adult content into something that helps thousands of kids, I don’t see the downside,” she said.

With thousands of gifts now set to brighten holiday mornings across Southern California, her message and her actions are ringing louder than the critics ever did.

Gym Confrontation Sparks Outrage As Video Goes Viral

In February 2024, Madi Ruve ignited a heated online debate after sharing footage of a tense encounter with a man at her local gym.

The viral clip showed her performing what she described as a simple warm-up: holding a medicine ball while bouncing in a deep squat.

Moments later, an angry gymgoer stormed over and demanded, “What are you doing?”

When Ruve responded, “My leg day warm-up,” the man refused to believe her intentions. “No, don’t give me that bullsh-t, I know you know what you’re doing,” he snapped, accusing her of filming “sexual” content for OnlyFans.

Ruve appeared stunned, asking, “Are you pointing at me?” but the confrontation escalated.

The man continued berating her, saying, “You realise that you’re actually what’s wrong with girls… this is f-cking ridiculous, don’t come to my gym and do this sh-t, keep this sh-t online bro don’t f-cking do this at my gym.”

The situation turned physical when he abruptly spun around and kicked her phone, cracking the screen.

Ruve overlaid the clip with the caption, “This is why 2024 is unsafe for women.”

Online reactions were swift and divided. Many condemned the man’s behavior, with one commenter urging her to report him.

They wrote, “Unless he’s the actual owner of the gym, you need to report him to the manager… Even if he is the owner, it’s still unacceptable.”
