Amy Schumer Subtly References Her Pronouns Amid Marriage Rumors

Amy Schumer is letting her fans know she is only one person!

The comedian is drawing attention to a different part of her private life, which she described as "being misgendered" by other people. Details of other parts of her life, including her marriage, are not hidden from the public eye as whispers rise, suggesting trouble in paradise.

Besides the rumors around Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer, who tied the knot in 2018, other controversies have arisen. Her weight loss journey got media attention, causing her to set some records straight.

Schumer made a release on social media where she disclosed that she often gets "misgendered." She added that she had no hard feelings towards this happening to her, saying it was fine. She continued saying that she was not going to complain about it, but had a different complaint to share.

The actress did not explicitly cite what other pronouns have been used by people to refer to her, but her following sentence could fuel some guesses.

She spoke about being "misnumbered," saying somebody thought she was multiple people. Schumer then quoted the person as saying, "Hey, guys," but was talking only to her.

With a tint of humor, she ended the Instagram reel with a chuckle, saying, "There's only one of me." Schumer filmed the video walking on a street clad in a grey shirt, awhite jacket, a pair of sunglasses, and a red beanie.

The clip has since gotten over 9000 likes and less than 100 reposts. The comments were few and mostly laughing emojis.

Schumer recently did a sweep on her Instagram, which fueled speculations concerning her marriage. This was because she erased her feed, including photos with her husband, leaving a picture of her in a red dress without her wedding ring. 

The Blast previously revealed that a friend claimed she was wiping her slate clean as a stepping stone to file for divorce soon after. At the same time, others argue that their marriage was going through a myriad of issues, ranging from Fischer's health, poor communication, and distance.

The comedian addressed the swirling chatter in an Instagram Story, writing that she and her beau are still married. It was further revealed that the pair are committed and invested in their relationship as partners and parents.

Not only did fans and the media suggest that her Instagram wipe was because her marriage was on rocky ground, but speculations from other angles surfaced. Schumer clapped back at media outlets that pushed the claims that she deleted the photos because they showed her old body.

They claimed that because many old photos showed the actress before she lost weight, she was trying to delete that part of her. Schumer shut down the narrative on her social media, making it clear that her motives and their theories were worlds apart.

She explained that she has always been proud of her looks. She feels confident and has overcome some health battles she struggled with over the years, including Cushing's syndrome.

The TV star has been very open about her weight loss journey and how she achieved the new bod. She shared that her path had been quite challenging as she had to use different medications before finding the right one.

Not long before clearing her feed, the 44-year-old posted a mirror snap proudly showing her midsection, which she captioned "No filter, No filler, No clean mirror." The Blast reported that Schumer kept it real while talking about the side effects that came along with using certain weight loss drugs.

She cited that she used Ozempic for a while, and although it had the weight loss effects, it made her so sick that she could not play with her son. Schumer then switched to Mounjaro, which transformed her looks, increased her confidence, and her sex drive.

At the "Saturday Night Live" 50th anniversary special, in February, a heartfelt moment was captured between the dynamic on-screen stars.

The pair embraced at the event, and Lively leaned on Schumer for support. Words of comfort were allegedly uttered as The Blast shared. This event took place amid Lively's legal battle with her co-star, Justin Baldoni.
