J.D. Vance Leaving His Wife For 'White Queen' Erika Kirk Will Be A 'Perfect MAGA Fairytale,' Joy Reid Claims

Joy Reid is pushing a wild notion about how J.D. Vance could raise his odds in a post-Trump presidential run with the help of the recently widowed Erika Kirk.
The TV personality claimed that the MAGA base is "fundamentally racist" and will have an issue with Vance's wife, Usha, who is Indian American.
She then suggested that the vice president could leave his wife for Erika Kirk, with whom he recently stirred online controversy over a hug they shared at a Turning Point USA event.
Why Joy Reid Made The Claim About J.D. Vance And Erika Kirk

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid is questioning J.D. Vance's political future in the Republican Party.
Reid, who spoke on the "I've Had It" podcast with Jennifer Welch, claimed that Vance may likely not be supported to run for the presidency after Trump's tenure finishes due to what she believes is the "fundamentally racist" nature of the MAGA base.
According to the TV personality, the political movement "can't have the successor be the guy with the brown Hindu wife," referencing Vance's wife, Usha.
In a particularly eyebrow-raising moment, Reid then floated a hypothetical scenario where Vance could dump his wife for Erika Kirk, the widow of the late right-wing influencer, Charlie Kirk.
"Wouldn't it be the most perfect MAGA fairytale if he finally sees the light that he needs a white queen, instead of this brown Hindu?" Reid said. "I'm not saying that's happening, or maybe that Usha's not even in on it, but that's one entrant."
Joy Reid's Co-Host Called J.D. Vance And Erika Kirk's Viral Hug The 'Weirdest Sh-t' She's Ever Seen
Reid's peculiar proposal followed Welch's mention of Erika during the nearly one-hour-long episode.
Welch had characterized the vice president's relationship with Erika Kirk as "slap and tickle" before referencing the duo's viral hug at a Turning Point USA event last month.
"It's the weirdest sh-t I've ever seen," Welch said of the hug, which lasted more than a few seconds.
Reid enthusiastically concurred with Welch's remark and proceeded to dissect various aspects of Erika's wardrobe selections and demeanor at recent events.
"Holdin' on the back of his head and rubbin' on his head!" Reid stated animatedly. "You not doin' that right. You supposed to be a widow, you in leather pants! That's not widow-wear."
Usha Vance Addresses Divorce Rumors After Being Seen Without Her Wedding Ring

The controversy surrounding Vance and Erika's hug was recently intensified when the VP's wife, Usha, stepped out for a major event without her wedding ring.
This further fueled the rumors that there was trouble in paradise between the second couple of America, seemingly linked to the Turning Point USA CEO's viral hug and comment that Vance was like her late husband, Charlie.
However, a spokesperson for Usha has since slammed the claims, explaining that she simply forgot to wear her ring as she is a busy woman.
The person told People Magazine that Usha is "mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes."
Erika Kirk Responded To Backlash Over Her Viral Hug With J.D. Vance

Erika has since addressed the backlash she received for the hug during a "Megyn Kelly Live" event over the weekend.
The mother of two told the crowd that her love language is touch, which is why the emotional moment occurred in that manner.
She then went on to give a play-by-play recollection of the entire moment, including what she and the Vice President discussed while sharing the hug.
"I'm walking over, he's walking over. I'm starting to cry," the TPUSA ceo shared with the listeners, per The Blast. "He says, 'He's so proud of you.' And I say, 'God bless you,' and I touched the back of his head."
Erika added, "Anyone who I have hugged, that I have touched the back of your head when I hug you, I always say, 'God bless you.' That's just me — if you want to take that out of context, go ahead."
After the explanation, Kelly attempted to downplay the hug, saying Erika's critics were "acting like you touched the back of his a-s."
Erika then responded, saying, "I feel like I wouldn't get as much hate if I did that."
Erika Kirk Believes Her Husband's Accused Killer Will Face Divine Justice

In the interview with Kelly, Erika appeared to do a 360 on her earlier stance of forgiving her husband's accused killer, Tyler Robinson.
She was first asked whether she had anything to say to the 22-year-old alleged assassin, to which she replied that what she feels is neither "sympathy" nor "anger."
Erika then expressed her belief that a higher power will deliver justice for her loss.
"Anything that I could ever wish upon him or the family would pale in comparison of the justice of God," she said, per The Blast, adding, "And so, I look at them, almost like, 'I'm so glad I'm not you."'
The mother of two also explained why she chooses not to be angry about her husband's death despite the emotional toll her loss has taken on her.
"The enemy would love for me to be angry," she said. "He would love it…[but] it "would distract me from building what Charlie entrusted to me, raising our babies, Turning Point, being there for the team, being there for what the future holds."
