In an unfortunate turn of events, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have found themselves at the receiving end of frightening news.
The singer’s mother-in-law has been identified as the victim of a terrifying home invasion that took place in her house at Shadyglade Avenue.
News of the invasion of Blanco’s mother’s house comes only two months after the record producer got married to Gomez in an intimate wedding in Santa Barbara, California.
Selena Gomez's Mother-In-Law Was Forced To Hide From Intruders

Blanco’s mother, Sandra Levin, was enjoying a quiet evening at her residence in Studio City, Los Angeles, when intruders broke into her home at around 9:30 p.m.
According to NBC4, the intruders gained access to the house by breaking through a sliding door at the side of the building.
In a moment of panic, Levin ran upstairs and locked herself in the bathroom of one of the bedrooms to distance herself from the intruders.
However, they soon went upstairs and opened the door to the bedroom she was in. Gomez’s mother-in-law then slightly opened the bathroom door and took a peek at the intruders. This seemed to surprise them, as they took off when they saw her.
The victim described the intruders as two men wearing dark clothing and masks, but it is unclear if she was able to provide more details about their appearance. So far, no injuries have been reported, and nothing was stolen during the incident.
Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco Recently Tied The Knot

News of the home invasion on Levin’s property comes two months after her son, Blanco, said “I do” to the Disney alum, Gomez.
The duo confirmed their engagement in December 2024 and tied the knot in late September 2025. The ceremony was held in Santa Barbara, and according to The Blast, the lovebirds were surrounded by about 170 guests, including family members, close friends, and select A-list celebrities.
Sources revealed that Gomez was so overwhelmed with emotion that she “sobbed and cried so hard” while she read her vows. Other insiders revealed that the ceremony was “extremely emotional” as guests were also moved to tears during the exchange of vows.
Before the main event, Gomez and Blanco hosted a rehearsal dinner with about 30 guests at Hope Ranch. Notably, the actress’s best friend, Taylor Swift, was among the guests in attendance.
Selena Gomez’s Grandfather Walked Her Down The Aisle

When Gomez walked down the aisle, she was escorted by her grandfather, David Cornett, not her mother, Mandy Teefey, as some expected.
Gomez’s choice to be handed over by her grandfather reportedly stirred up tensions within the family. According to an insider, “Selena's mother and her stepfather, Brian, were shattered [that] she didn't choose her mother to walk her down the aisle,” per The Blast.
On the other hand, Cornett and his partner, Debbie, were elated when they learned of Gomez’s choice. A source close to the family revealed that the singer, who has always shared a close bond with her grandparents, wanted Cornett to be a “huge part of her wedding.”
Selena Gomez And Mom Teefey Have A Strained Relationship

Gomez’s choice to be walked down the aisle by her grandfather does not come as a shock, given the rocky nature of her relationship with her mother.
Amid their strained relationship, the “Only Murders in the Building” actress worked together with Teefey on “13 Reasons Why.” However, she soon fired her mother as her manager.
In 2018, Gomez checked herself into a mental health facility without her mother’s knowledge, and this further deepened the divide between them. They later reunited and founded Wondermind together in 2022. However, their relationship has continued to stand on shaky ground.
Teefey Was Allegedly Involved In Drug Abuse

Part of the strain between Gomez and Teefey also stemmed from allegations that the latter was heavily involved in drug abuse.
As reported by The Blast, some of Teefey’s employees anonymously claimed that she was often intoxicated at work.
One employee reportedly witnessed Teefey snort what they presume to be “a line of Ritalin,” while other staff members allegedly saw nurses visiting the singer’s mother with IV drips of liquid Benadryl.
Eyewitnesses claimed that Teefey defended her use of injections by claiming that they helped her “deal with allergies and the aftermath of severe COVID and double pneumonia."
However, Teefey strongly denied the allegations and expressed disappointment in the media for allegedly amplifying the lies of “a few disgruntled employees.”
