Erika Kirk has drawn criticism from netizens after expressing that she prayed she was pregnant after learning of her husband Charlie Kirk's murder.
Some particularly took offense with the TPUSA CEO's advice to young married couples not to put off having children in pursuit of their careers.
Erika Kirk also recently faced backlash over a viral hug with J.D. Vance, which she addressed during her sit-down with Megyn Kelly, where she revealed details of the discussion they had during the hug.
Erika Kirk's Grieving Process Under Scrutiny After Saying She Prayed She Was Pregnant Following Husband's Death

Erika's appearance on Megyn Kelly's live event has drawn heavy backlash over some of the remarks she made.
The mother of two's grieving process came under scrutiny due to her claim that she had prayed she was pregnant after learning of Kirk's death.
It reignited remarks about the unusualness of Erika taking quite a number of interviews barely weeks after Kirk's assassination instead of taking a long time away from the media to mourn her loss.
"Weird. I would have had so much more respect for her if she kept quiet, grieved, and then came out swinging 6 months to a year later. But all of this seems off. It's just odd behavior and odd things to say," a person said.
"I'm really increasingly baffled by her presence in the media so soon after a tragedy of this type? That's disturbing," another said.
Amid the backlash, Erika found a little bit of support from some individuals who believed her media appearances and remarks were all part of her grieving process.
"People grieve in weird ways. Let's leave this woman alone. She is saying and doing anything because she's still out of her mind," the netizen remarked.
The TPUSA CEO Was Called A 'Hypocrite' For Telling Young Women Not To Put Off Having Kids In Favor Of A Career

Erika has also been called out for advising young women not to put off having children in pursuit of career goals.
The remarks didn't sit well with many netizens, with one calling it a "gross display of political and social incompetence."
"She speaks from a place of mindlessness. It is cruel to bring children into homes that cannot afford them. She can encourage Americans to be good parents, but it's not realistic to pressure people to be parents," the individual added.
Another person labeled Erika a hypocrite while citing how the new CEO of Turning Point USA followed a different path than what she is advising.
The netizen remarked, "Erika Kirk is so f-cking disingenuous for a lot of reasons, but especially for telling young women they can 'always go back to work, or having a career, but don't put off having kids.' She had her first baby when she was in her mid-30s after getting an advanced degree!!"
What Erika Kirk Said On Megyn Kelly's Live Show About Having Kids
During her interview with Kelly, Erika also said she wished she had been pregnant with Kirk's child before his death, adding that having another baby was something they had been praying about.
"We wanted to have four," she told her host. "And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered. I was like, 'Oh goodness, that would be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.'"
Meanwhile, her advice about young people getting pregnant early also included a claim that they could easily return to pursuing their careers after having children.
"Now when I see young couples, I tell them, 'Please, like don't put it off,' especially if you're a young woman, don't put it off," she shared.
The mother-of-two added, "You can always have a career. You can always go back to work. You can never just go back to having children, and they grow so fast and so quickly."
The Mother Of Two Recently Addressed A Viral Hug With J.D. Vance

In another conversation with Kelly at the podcaster's live event last Saturday, Erika addressed the controversial hug she had with Vice President J.D. Vance at a Turning Point USA event.
She explained that her "love language is touch," and she wasn't in any way trying to be inappropriate with Vance, per People Magazine.
"He says, 'I'm so proud of you.' And I say, 'God bless you,' and I touch the back of his head," said Erika, revealing the brief conversation she had with Vance during the emotional moment.
She added, "Anyone whom I have hugged, that I have touched the back of your head when I hug you, I always say, 'God bless you.'"
Erika Kirk Forgave Her Husband's Alleged Killer

As Tyler Robinson, the suspected Charlie Kirk shooter, awaits his murder trial, the late right-wing activist's wife has revealed she has forgiven him for his actions.
Erika made the heartfelt remarks during her emotional address at Kirk's memorial in Glendale, Arizona.
"My husband, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life," Erika said.
She continued, "That man, that young man – I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do."
