In a live interview in Arizona, set to air on Monday, November 24, Erika Kirk spoke with Megyn Kelly, revealing the deeply personal hope she carried in the immediate aftermath of her husband’s killing.

“I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered,” the widow told Kelly, per the New York Post during the Glendale tour stop.

The confession stunned the room, especially when Kelly reminded her she had shared that longing privately before.

When asked how many children the couple had planned to have, Erika responded simply, “We wanted to have four.”

Her recollection made it clear that the family expansion wasn’t just a casual dream, but an active hope shared by both husband and wife.

As she continued speaking, Erika Kirk explained that she and Charlie had both been praying for another child.

“I was praying. Both of us were. We were just excited to just expand our family,” she said.

Her comments quickly expanded into a larger plea, urging young women not to delay starting families if it’s something they want.

“When I see young couples, I tell them, ‘Please, don’t put it off.’ Especially if you’re a young woman. Don’t put it off, you can always have a career, you can always, you know, go back to work. You can never just go back to having children. And they grow so fast and so quickly,” she urged.

Erika and Charlie already share two children, a boy and a girl, a reality Megyn Kelly acknowledged when she told her, “Thank God you have the two. Thank God.”
