Denise Richards'estranged husband,Aaron Phypers, continues to tell of financial woes, with a new plea for an earlier hearing.
The estranged husband of the Bravo star has been stuck in a dire financial state after choosing to end his marriage to the TV personality. Although he accused her of cheating and faking her abuse allegations, he has scored no victories in his efforts to prove his innocence.
Now, Aaron Phypers is depending on the law to save him from a six-figure debt by granting him funds from Denise Richards' wealth. The legal drama doesn't end there, as his landlord also dragged him and his estranged wife to court for overdue rent.
Denise Richards' Estranged Husband Begs The Court For An Earlier Hearing

According to new court documents, Phypers is broke and in need of spousal support, which he describes as the only way to help him get out of debt. He painted a picture of severe financial issues, revealing that he had been borrowing money from friends to stay afloat.
"I am in literal danger of being made homeless with no vehicle and no cell phone," Phypers told the court. He explained that he could be evicted from his home at any moment because his "financial situation gets worse by the day," especially with the criminal charges against him.
On that note, Phypers implored the court to move a hearing scheduled for January 5 to an earlier date. He also begged the judge to give him access to the money that is allegedly under Richards' control, with TMZ reporting that he asked for a massive sum to clear his debts.
Aaron Phypers Wants Over $300K 'To Survive'

In his legal documents, Phypers claimed that he needed over $300,000 "to survive." He asked for $125,000 to cover his overdue rent, $10,090 for past due HOA fees, $3,543 for past due water bill for reconnection, and $13,000 for past due gas for reconnection.
The list continued with $12,000 for past-due electricity, $1,400 for past-due waste management, and $1,200 for past-due special trash removal. Outside his home bills, Phypers asked for $17,820 to cover his pickup truck to avoid it getting repossessed.
Phypers also requested $1,960 to cover the bills for some storage units. The expenses didn't end there, as he needed at least $150,000 to cover the legal fees he would incur while responding to the criminal charges against him in a felony domestic violence case.
The Former Bravolebrity's Ex Was Arrested After A Court Hearing

The criminal charges Phypers cited in his filing stemmed from an October incident. The Blast covered the story, reporting that Richards' estranged husband had been arrested after a court hearing in their restraining order case.
Phypers was taken into custody on felony domestic violence charges, including two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat. He was given a $200,000 bail and regained his freedom after a brief stay in police custody.
His attorney, Michael Finley, shed more light on the incident, implying Richards and her team had set Phypers up for failure. Finley explained that his client was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant connected to Richards' physical abuse allegations. However, they weren't aware of the warrant.
The 'RHOBH' Alum Emerged Victorious In The Restraining Order Case

Phypers has faced repeated losses in his legal battle with Richards, including their recently concluded restraining order drama. Early this month, The Blast shared that Richards had emerged victorious in her request for a protective order against her ex.
Richards had accused Phypers of repeated physical and emotional abuse throughout their union, leading to a court battle that saw Phypers’ cousin corroborating her story. At the end of the day, the court also sided with Richards and granted a five-year restraining order.
Phypers was not allowed to harass his estranged wife in any manner from the day the order was issued until November 7, 2030. The restrictions continued with a weapons ban, a gag order, and the immediate return of Richards’ devices in his possession.
Denise Richards & Aaron Phypers Dragged To Court By Their Landlord

As though losing the restraining order battle wasn't enough, Phypers got dragged to court for his overdue rent alongside Richards. The Blast reported that the former couple was sued by their landlord, John Karan, for $84,000 in overdue rent.
Karan explained that the exes had signed a lease five years ago, agreeing to pay $12,000 monthly for the six-bedroom in Calabasas. He noted that the checks had stopped coming for the past few months and implored the court to help him collect what was due.
Additionally, the landlord wanted to evict the tenants living there as soon as possible. Although Karen mentioned Richards in the lawsuit, she had stopped living in the Calabasas property since 2023. Instead, Phypers and his family became the new occupants.
