Weeks after Encore Management filed the above lawsuit, Thornton was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in November 2025.
Thornton's arrest came after the property management company alleged the reality star and McGriff "suddenly moved" out of their unit in the middle of the night and took $11,000 worth of furniture and electronics.
Body camera footage was released shortly after Thornton's arrest was made public, showing the Bravo veteran crying to officers as she admitted to knowing she was wanted.

Thornton wrapped up her time on the long-running reality show in April 2025, sharing her decision with her fans in a dramatic Instagram post.
"With every new season comes a new beginning, and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season," she wrote online.
"The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey, one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories. I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story," she added.
"I don't just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded," she concluded.
One 'Real Housewives' Star Goes Into Jail ... Another One Leaves

While Thornton is dealing with her new reality, Jen Shah, from the "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," is gearing up for her release from FPC Bryan after serving 33 months in prison. An earlier report from The Blast confirms the volatile reality star will be a free woman on December 10, 2025.
Shah's legal team released a statement saying the mother of two was in a "really positive, hopeful place mentally" and that she's done a lot of inner work to heal herself. "She's done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before," they said.
Shah was initially sentenced to 78 months in prison in January 2023 for her role in a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted thousands of innocent people, many of whom were over the age of 55.
"Many of SHAH’s victims were elderly or vulnerable. Many of those people suffered significant financial hardship and damage. At SHAH’s direction, victims were defrauded over and over again until they had nothing left. She and her co-conspirators persisted in their conduct until the victims’ bank accounts were empty, their credit cards were at their limits, and there was nothing more to take," a Department of Justice press release read.
