Wendy Williams Reportedly 'Can't Go Anywhere' Despite New Health Update

The drama between Wendy Williams and her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, continues, with claims of isolation.
The former talk show host has been butting heads with Morrissey for months, first accusing her of scathing claims in January alongside her niece, Alex Finnie. She has since repeatedly denied the guardian's claims about her health.
Sabrina Morrissey alleged that Wendy Williams had been diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), leaving her cognitively impaired and legally incapacitated. However, a top neurologist disputed the diagnosis, an outcome the entertainer wasn't allowed to celebrate.
Wendy Williams Was Allegedly Not Allowed To Celebrate With Friends

Following news of a top neurologist disputing Williams’ aphasia and dementia diagnosis, the media personality planned an outing with close pals to celebrate the results. Sources claimed the event's planning took two weeks, giving everyone plenty of time to get ready.
However, Williams was unable to attend the November 19 outing at the last minute because Morrissey had allegedly gotten in her way. Sources explained that Williams could not leave her living facility in New York City without her guardian's approval and a bodyguard in town.
If a bodyguard wasn't available, Williams could leave with her niece, Finnie, acting as an escort. Neither of these two options was available on the big day, with sources telling Page Six that Williams suspected sabotage, saying:
“She couldn’t get in touch with her bodyguard. She thinks Sabrina may have dismissed him.”
The Court-Appointed Guardian Allegedly Has A History Of Sabotaging The Entertainer

Williams suspected Morrissey had dismissed her bodyguard behind her back because her guardian had done so in the past. “She’s fired a previous bodyguard. They don’t keep her in the loop. [Morrissey] doesn’t want her to go out,” sources claimed.
The former host of “The Wendy Williams Show” wasn't alone in her suspicions, with sources noting that her close pals shared similar sentiments. Williams was supposed to meet up with comedian Luenell, her former show producer Suzanne Bass, and Max Tucci for the November 19 outing.
In her absence, the pals still met up at Tucci’s TUCCI restaurant in New York’s Noho neighborhood. Sources noted that they spoke to Williams over the phone and raved about their love for her while bashing “the Sabrina b-tch,” who they claimed was “pissed off” by Williams’ recent outings.
The Former Shock Jock's Attorney Slammed Sabrina Morrissey As Vindictive

Williams’ friends weren't the only ones who believed Morrissey was retaliating against their pal by restricting her movements. Her attorney, Joe Tacopina, shared the same thoughts, labeling the court-appointed guardian vindictive.
Tacopina stressed that Williams wasn't “being protected” under Morrissey's care; instead, she was being punished and isolated from the people she cared about. “What should’ve been a safeguard became a system of control that limited her voice, her choices, and her dignity,” the attorney lamented.
The legal rep added that “no guardianship should ever feel like a sentence.” These claims about Morrissey match the allegations Williams and her camp have repeatedly leveled against the guardian, especially her false claims about Williams’ cognitive state.
Top Neurologist Reportedly Refutes The Aphasia And FTD Diagnosis

As stated, Williams and her pals had planned to celebrate her new health update before Morrissey allegedly sabotaged their plans. The Blast covered the story, reporting that sources claimed a top neurologist had refuted the aphasia and FTD diagnosis.
The neurologist gave Williams a clean bill of health after a new medical examination, finding her cognitively fit and not impaired like Morrissey claimed. Other medical experts echoed similar sentiments, noting that Williams did not fit the description of someone with dementia.
According to these medical experts, dementia patients do not experience positive recovery, given the debilitating condition. On the other hand, Williams has changed for the better ever since she embarked on a sobriety journey three years ago.
Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Lost His Bid For $250 Million

A month before Williams’ new health update, The Blast shared that her ex-husband had lost his attempt to score $250 million in compensatory damages. Kevin Hunter had filed a lawsuit on Williams’ behalf, alleging that she was in an unlawful guardianship.
When Hunter filed the lawsuit, Williams stressed that she did not sanction his actions and labeled it a desperate attempt for a quick cash grab. Her attorney echoed similar sentiments, noting Hunter had no right to file the lawsuit as Williams’ ex-husband.
The court agreed with this stance and dismissed Hunter's lawsuit. The judge explained that he could not make the unlawful guardianship allegations on Williams’ behalf, but he got the opportunity to refile as long as he kept his ex-wife out of it.
Will Wendy Williams’ guardian respond to the new allegations against her?
