Meghan Markle's recent interview has revealed her carefully managed public image and personal reflections.
Reporter Kaitlyn Greenidge described how the U.S.-based royal had her staff announce her arrival with her "duchess" title despite there being only two guests.

Meghan Markle's Team Reportedly Introduced Her As 'Duchess' With Just Two People There To Hear It

During a recent interview for Harper's Bazaar, Meghan reportedly had a staff member announce her by her royal title as the journalist walked in, despite the two being the only people present.
Writer Kaitlyn Greenidge described the meeting, which took place in October inside a friend's Upper East Side brownstone, as "unexpectedly ceremonial."
She noted that Meghan, 44, was casually dressed in black leggings and an oversized Northwestern sweatshirt, her hair pulled back and freckles visible, giving her the appearance of someone who "could still be in college."
"When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,’ even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house," Greenidge noted.
Meghan and her husband were in New York at the time to accept Project Healthy Minds' Humanitarians of the Year award.
The interview wasn't Meghan and Greenidge's first interaction. The week prior, Meghan had chosen the highly visible Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel for their initial conversation, a seating choice Greenidge described as "a calculated choice," as the pair were positioned where other diners could clearly see them.
The Sussexes' chief communications officer reportedly sat between the duchess and the journalist throughout.

Since stepping down as working royals, Harry and Meghan have been under heavy scrutiny, particularly for their continuous use of their royal titles.
The latest revelation by reporter Greenidge has now also stirred up conversation, with many calling out the Duchess of Sussex for still making use of her ties with the British royal family.
A person on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "So are you suggesting that the entire piece was a veiled effort to cast shade? And Megsie fell for it? BRAVO !!"
"I think I need to have my name announced in every house I go into," another joked.
"Did they hire the paperboy to come inside and call her, 'Her Royal Highness,' too? Lol," a third person asked, referencing a past incident when Meghan used her "HRH" title while sending a gift to a friend.
Meghan Markle Reflects On Bravery, Support From Prince Harry, Saying He Loves Her 'Boldly' And 'Fully'

During her interview with Harper's Bazaar, the As Ever founder reflected on her hopes for her children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, saying she wants them to witness the courage involved in pursuing creative work from scratch.
"I hope they see the value of being brave," she said. "They saw it when the jam was just a pot on the stove, bubbling. When you're young. I think you are a little bit more fearless. As we get older, we lose some of that."
Meghan also became emotional when speaking about Harry praising his unwavering support.
She described him as someone who loves [her] "boldly" and "fully," noting that he often sees media narratives she doesn't.
"No one in the world loves me more than him," the duchess said. "So I know he's always going to make sure that he has my back."
The Duchess Says Her Husband's Playful Spirit Shapes Her Work And Motherhood

While Meghan admires Harry's dedication, she cherishes even more how his personality has reshaped her own approach to life, as both a mother and a businesswoman.
She described being especially drawn to his "sense of childlike wonder and playfulness," saying it has encouraged her to embrace creativity and joy in everything she does.
"That's translated into every part of our life," she explained. "Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative."
Meghan shared that she's trying to pass that same spirit on to her daughter. Because she often works from home, Princess Lilibet frequently climbs onto her lap in the middle of meetings, whether Meghan is reviewing profit-and-loss reports or talking through a creative idea.
"I'm a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new," she noted about the young prince and princess. "I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day. I can give myself the same grace as a founder. There's no such thing as perfect."
Meghan Markle Shares Her Thanksgiving Hosting Tips, And The One Dish Prince Harry Refuses To Celebrate Without

In a separate conversation with People Magazine, Meghan offered her go-to Thanksgiving hosting tip and favorite shortcuts for a smooth celebration, along with the one item Harry insists must be on the table.
"Chop your veggies and herbs in advance to save time on the day," she advised, noting that Archie and Lilibet love helping with the simple tasks. "Your kids can join in too! They can proudly say they helped."
Meghan also shared one of her creative kitchen hacks: "Keep the tops and blend them with parmesan, olive oil, and pine nuts for a refreshing take on pesto to elevate your holiday spread."
Paired with creamy mashed potatoes, a fresh green salad dotted with edible flowers, and, most importantly, rich, hearty gravy, Meghan said the combination is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
"My husband would never forgive me if I didn't add that to the table," she joked.
To create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Meghan recommends lighting candles, scented ones in gathering areas, unscented in the kitchen, so the food remains the star. She greets guests with drinks and simple nibbles, like warm Brie topped with jam.
