The daughter of Hollywood icons Bruce Willis and Demi Moore recently updated her Instagram followers about her life as a single mother of one. She welcomed a daughter named Louetta in April 2023.

Rumer Willis welcomed her child during her relationship with ex-boyfriend Derek Thomas. It remains unclear when the former couple started dating, but their romance began making headlines in 2022.

Willis revealed there are days when she needs a good cry, given the challenges of being a single mom. She shared a video of herself in tears as she strolled through the woods, holding her phone with one hand, while wiping her tear-stained cheeks with the other.

Although she looked down, Willis flashed a smile for the camera and a thumbs-up, implying she would keep pushing no matter how heartbroken she got. She shared more about her feelings in the video's overlay text, writing:

Willis added in a separate caption, "Wow, and I just realized I have food in my teeth…really winning today." After regaining her composure, the media personality launched a Q&A session with fans on her Instagram Stories.

Willis kicked off the Q&A session with a detailed response about her breastfeeding experience following a fan's query. She explained that it had its fair share of challenges, describing herself as "torn" between continuing and ending her daughter's breastfeeding.

"Breastfeeding has been such an incredible experience and I advocate for any woman to keep at it," Willis began, admitting that she knew it wasn't typical for women to continue breastfeeding their toddlers. However, she believed she made the right decision for her daughter.

According to Willis, a cold recently plagued Louetta's school, but she escaped with less severe symptoms than her classmates. The doting mother believed breastfeeding played a key role in building her daughter's immunity, adding that there was "something so special about it."

Although Willis believed breastfeeding had more benefits than cons for her daughter's health, she confessed that she might stop soon. She explained that one part of her felt like she could continue breastfeeding until Louetta turns 3, but another part wanted to recover.

Willis noted that the other part of her pushed for her body's replenishment, explaining that there were conditions like her gut health that she couldn't treat until she stopped breastfeeding. Based on these signs, she felt like her body was getting ready to stop breastfeeding.

The entertainer was also preparing to get Louetta off breast milk, noting that she had reduced their breastfeeding sessions to stop her daughter from having access to it all the time. She also advised new moms to get support, crediting Lauren Archer for helping her throughout her breastfeeding journey.

A month before reflecting on her breastfeeding experience, Willis had faced criticisms for breastfeeding her 2-year-old daughter. PEOPLE reported that she addressed the online backlash with a cheeky post on her Instagram Story.

Willis shared a picture of herself breastfeeding Louetta alongside the caption, "For the haters who come at me about breastfeeding my 2-year-old. I hope you have a blessed day [face blowing a kiss emoji]." Her clap back came months after she expressed gratitude for her parents' divorce.

The TV personality explained that she was grateful to her parents for showing her firsthand how to co-parent amicably. She credited them for creating a "beautiful foundation" for herself and her sister, noting that they always prioritized their happiness.

Willis' status as a single mom became known in August 2024 during a Q&A session with fans on her Instagram Story. The Blast covered the news, reporting that a fan had queried Willis about the status of her relationship with Thomas.
