Dave Portnoy Hints Patrick Beverley Will Be Fired From Barstool Sports If Frightening Allegations Are Proven True

Former NBA star Patrick Beverley better hope the allegations against him aren't true, because if they are, Dave Portnoy said he'll be out of a job at Barstool Sports.
Beverley, a former Houston Rockets player turned Barstool Sports podcaster, has found himself in serious legal trouble after he was arrested in Texas and accused of horrifying crimes.
During an episode of "The Unnamed Show," Portnoy, Barstool's outspoken and infamous founder, opened up about the shocking details surrounding Beverley's arrest and explained why the Illinois native is still currently employed with the network.

“It’s a brutal police report”
“It’s a family issue and I don’t know what’s true and not”

According to Portnoy, Beverley, a former Los Angeles Lakers player, is "taking forced time away" from Barstool Sports following his arrest on felony assault charges. (For those unfamiliar, Beverley hosts the "Hoopin' N Hollerin" podcast, sponsored by the media company.)
"We'll let the facts play out," Portnoy told his listeners. "Certainly, with what is hanging there, we can't have him be part of what we're doing right now, and we got to see how it settles, but this is horrible."
Patrick Beverley Is Being Accused Of Horrifying Behavior

1) if he did it, he’s justified.

As previously reported by The Blast, Beverley was arrested in Texas on felony assault charges after allegedly getting into a physical altercation with his 15-year-old sister.
Court documents released after his arrest state that the basketball player was called to his mother's home to confront his younger sister, who, reportedly, had snuck out of her home to spend time with her boyfriend.
Upon Beverley's arrival at his mother's home, things reportedly took a sharp turn, with court documents stating that Beverley "grabbed [his younger sister] by her neck with both hands, and picked her up off the ground, by having her feet come up from the floor."
The documents also state, "[Beverley's Sister] stated that Patrick Beverley squeezed her neck, causing her to feel pain. [She] felt as she was losing oxygen and not able to breathe."
And if that wasn't enough, Beverley has also been accused of punching his sister in the eye and making a "statement to her during the assault, to the extent that he will be the family relative to kill her."
Officers on the scene noted in their police report that Beverley's younger sister had "petechiae," or burst blood vessels, in the whites of her eyes, noting its consistency with strangulation.
Portnoy shared on his show that if he learned there's "any truth" to the claims, Beverley "won't be back at Barstool."
Patrick Beverley Slammed By Fans, But His Lawyer Fiercely Defends Him

The allegations against Beverley were so disturbing that social media users slammed the University of Arkansas alum and his mother on different platforms.
"Patrick Beverley’s mom needs to be arrested for child endangerment, and DCF needs to get involved. She allowed her grown a-s [redacted] a-s to be violent [with] his teen sister… shut it all down," one user posted on X, the site formerly known as Twitter. Another user called Beverley "diabolical."
In a statement, however, Beverley's lawyer, Letitia Quinones-Hollins, wasted no time defending her client and seemingly excusing the "negative details" of the story.
"... remember that it is only one side of the story," Quinones-Hollins said. "As I’ve said before, we don’t believe that the description in that affidavit is accurate, nor is it complete. Patrick is not a violent man and was not violent that night."
Portnoy Speaks Out About Hate Messages He's Received
Dave Portnoy is everything embarrassing/despicable abt right-wing "masculinity." He's serially accused of sexual assault & called on foreign terrorist state to kill Greta Thunberg. But *Dave Portnoy* is the real victim because a random teen was mean to him https://t.co/ijl4xpCBUa

Prior to addressing Beverley's ongoing legal woes, Portnoy got candid with the public about the influx of hate messages he said he's been receiving regarding his Jewish identity.
"Occasionally you get, 'Hey, k-ke' or 'Jew' or whatever. It's every day now. Like, there's a definitive shift in what's going on," he said, according to The Blast. "So yeah, now, for me being a Jewish person, you have to step up. You're kind of someone people look up to in the Jewish community. You have to go, 'Alright, this is not normal, ha-ha with the guys. People are coming up with real hate.'"
Portnoy Receives Pushback After Opening Up About Hate Messages
People think that this Jew-obsession is just some minor problem we can ignore.
It’s not.

I tried to warn you. Young males are being infected.

Portnoy began receiving pushback, however, when he told a CBS News reporter that he didn't see any similarities between the messages he's been receiving from critics and the kinds of statements he and his co-hosts make on the Barstool Sports platform.
"Because I think Barstool, and myself, has always had a pretty good moral compass. So, we've never stood for hate or anything of that ilk," he said.
But users clapped back almost instantly, reminding the 48-year-old that he's made comments others have viewed as insensitive about "b-mbing Greta Thunberg's flotilla" and sexual assault.
"The guy that joked about r-pe has suddenly found a line too far," another user wrote before someone else called his comments "rich."
"Barstool built their brand based off hate and stealing people's content. But since that hate wasn't directed at the head guy, he was fine with it," they added.
