The Legendary Coach Wore A Miserable Look On His Face

While there may be many perks to dating a younger woman for Belichick, there are definitely some downsides, and attending cheerleading recitals seems to be one of them for the legendary coach.

In a video that has since gone viral, the UNC coach was spotted at a cheerleading competition in Raleigh, where he attended to support his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

Hudson, who has extensive cheerleading experience, is a member of a coed adult cheerleading team that was competing at the event.

In the background of the footage was Belichick, dressed in a casual hoodie and standing upright as he watched the performance.

For the past few months, Belichick and Hudson's romance has dominated headlines, especially after the cheerleader hijacked his CBS interview to prevent questions about their romance from being asked.

This has led many to accuse Belichick of being distracted while being the coach of UNC football, with many stating that his behavior amid his new romance is the total opposite of the way he acted during his days as a Patriots coach.

One of such critics was his former player, Asante Samuel, who branded Belichick a "hypocrite," arguing that he is doing precisely what he advised his players not to do.

"Ultimately, coach is being a hypocrite. He's being a hypocrite, the way he's carrying on. He told us to stay off the media and don't have family distractions and things like that," Samuel stated, during a chat with TMZ Sports.

He questioned, "Coach has all this stuff going on? Coach, where did this come from? Why wasn't we able to enjoy ourselves like this now that you want to enjoy yourself, know what I'm saying?"

Since joining UNC as its coach, the team has suffered more losses than wins, leading to increased scrutiny over the veteran coach's program.

His latest match against Wake Forest also ended in a 28–12 loss, which brought even further criticism.

Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy, who has criticized Belichick in the past, was among those who took to social media to express their frustrations.

"Watching UNC is so frustrating. It's like an alien stole Belichick's brain. Just horribly coached. Horrible decisions," he said on X.

He later added, "Belichick needs to retire. This is disgusting. I'm not even sure he knows the score or where he is."

The remarks led netizens also to question how Belichick achieved his six Super Bowl wins in the NFL.

"Or maybe it was really Brady winning all those years," one user wrote. "Maybe he was never a good coach, and it was always Brady," a second individual remarked.

Some began speculating about a possible return to the NFL for the veteran coach, but he clarified that he is not pursuing any such opportunities.

"I have great respect and genuinely care for the New York Giants organization and both the Mara and Tisch families," Belichick penned in a statement, per the New York Post.

"The New York Giants played an important role in my life and in my coaching journey," he added in his statement. "It was a privilege for me to work for the Mara family and be a member of Coach Parcells' staff for over a decade. However, despite circulating rumors, I have not and will not pursue any NFL head coaching vacancies."
