The actress, 28, made 2024 headlines for jokingly wondering if her swimsuit photos were "thirst trap" material on Instagram, and while many seemed to agree, not everyone proved a fan. The repost, which showed the blonde in a sporty bathing suit worn unzipped at the front, had one hater calling her "ugly," with another saying that she was "mid AF." Flaunting her backside and putting on a cheeky display in one slide, Sydney drew the eye to her rear in a clingy black bathing suit, rocking long sleeves as she hung around the waters surrounding her $13.5 million Florida mansion.

Injecting white accents from vertical paneling down her sleeves, Sydney soaked up the sunshine in low-glam mode, wearing her blonde hair down and damp. Meanwhile, a front-facing shot showed the Miu Miu ambassador pouting her lips into a kiss as she put on a revealing display. Going unzipped for a cleavage flash, Sydney highlighted her famous assets while on a water vessel, also joyfully throwing one arm up in the air.

While one fan could only manage a "dang," and another wrote: "Just wow," a third called Sydney Sweeney "ugly." The user calling the star "thicc" could well have been throwing a compliment. Then again, the term can be a shaming one.

Sydney has opened up about her curves, even saying that she was uncomfortable developing early. "I had boobs before other girls, and I felt ostracized for it," she told GQ, continuing: "I was embarrassed, and I never wanted to change in the locker room. I think that I put on this weird persona that other people had of me because of my body. So I did play every sport, and I studied really hard, and I did everything that people wouldn't think I would do, to show them that my body doesn't define who I am."
