Meghan McCain is not holding back on slamming Megyn Kelly for her comments over Jeffrey Epstein.
Kelly recently discussed the convicted sex offender, questioning his label as a pedophile. However, her comments led to backlash from several people, including McCain, who tagged her remarks as “disgusting.”
Other public figures similarly slammed Kelly for her statements, including actress Christina Ricci, who called Kelly a “danger” to children.
Meghan McCain Heavily Criticized Megyn Kelly For Her Jeffrey Epstein Comments

During a recent episode of her podcast, “Citizen McCain,” the former "The View" host discussed Kelly’s statements with her co-host, Miranda Wilkins.
McCain criticized the journalist’s comments, pointing out that pedophilia should be unacceptable in all forms. She also noted that Kelly’s statements were an attempt to trivialize pedophilia, which should not be so.
“I think my question in general is, why are we having a conversation about what is okay or more socially acceptable when it comes to pedophilia?” she bemused.
McCain then slammed Kelly as “disgusting” for seemingly trying to question whether or not Epstein was a pedophilia.
“I just don’t understand the point of this conversation other than to rile up, offend, get people upset. I wasn’t upset, but I was like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ This is obviously insane,” she added.
The columnist pointed out that the term “barely legal,” which Kelly used, was a “p-rn term.” Her co-host, Wilkins, also shared the same sentiments, saying, “It’s disgusting, but when you watch the full clip and get the full context, it feels like she’s [Kelly] trying to rationalize it or make it make sense or make it okay in some kind of way.”
At the end of the discussion, McCain firmly stood on the option that only the law matters, and if the law considers people 18 and under as children, then that’s what they are.
Megyn Kelly Seemingly Defends Jeffrey Epstein As ‘Not A Pedophile’

McCain’s statements come on the heels of Kelly’s comments over the Epstein case. During a recent episode of her SiriusXM podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the journalist said that she spoke to a person closely connected to the case, and “Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile.”
Kelly acknowledged that the case was “disgusting,” but pointed out that the late felon wasn’t attracted to 8-year-olds, but “very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were,” per The Blast.
She also said that none of the alleged victims admitted to being under 14 years old and emphasized that there’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a five-year-old.
Christina Ricci Slams Megyn Kelly For Her Statements

Kelly’s controversial statements also drew criticism from actress Christina Ricci.
The “Yellowjackets” star shared clips of Kelly’s statements on her Instagram Stories, highlighting the part where the journalist said there was a difference between a 15-year-old and a five-year-old.
She then publicly called her out for her dangerous statements. “This woman is a danger to children,” she wrote, per The Blast.
Jeffrey Epstein Claimed Trump Reportedly Spent ‘Hours’ With A Minor

Kelly's controversial remarks came after The Blast reported that newly uncovered emails belonging to Epstein pointed an accusing finger at Trump.
One of the emails revealed that President Trump allegedly “spent hours at Epstein's house" with a minor.
The exchange also referred to the president as a “dog that hasn’t barked” and pointed out that an unnamed person spent hours with the president.
The email was sent to Epstein’s close friend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who simply replied, “I have been thinking about that.”
Trump Was Allegedly Aware Of Epstein’s ‘Girls’

Another email correspondence similarly placed the President as an alleged accomplice in Epstein’s crimes, with the mail claiming Trump knew about the minors in Epstein’s house.
In a conversation with Michael Wolff, Epstein reportedly told the journalist, “Trump said he asked me to resign... of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”
The emails were uncovered among the 23,000 documents surrendered to the Oversight Committee following a subpoena issued in late August.
Although the president has yet to address the emails uncovered, a White House representative tagged them as a failed attempt to create a smear campaign against the president.
