Hines is seething over Olivia Nuzzi's claims that she and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Hines' husband, shared a romantic connection, and that Kennedy even wanted her to have his child, sources told the New York Post.

According to a friend of Hines, the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" actress has privately blasted Nuzzi as a "f-cking liar," insisting the journalist's allegations are not only untrue but deeply insulting.

The friend emphasized that Hines' choice of words "underscores the intense anger she feels" about what she believes are blatant fabrications in Nuzzi's upcoming book, "American Canto," which hits shelves December 2.

"He would never love THAT woman, let alone have her have his baby," Hines reportedly told the friend. "What that woman's claiming is almost laughable if it wasn't so hurtful."

Nuzzi, who has since climbed to the role of West Coast editor at Vanity Fair, doesn't explicitly name Kennedy in her book.

Instead, she references a high-ranking government official she calls "The Politician," describing what she portrays as an emotionally charged, virtual-only entanglement that played out through texts and FaceTime. She maintains that the relationship was never physical.

Kennedy, 71, has repeatedly denied any romantic involvement with Nuzzi, saying his only interaction with her was a single interview during his 2023–2024 presidential bid.

When the scandal first surfaced, Hines, who has been married to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, was reportedly "heartbroken," with a source adding that she briefly considered divorce and stopped wearing her wedding ring.

In her new memoir, "Unscripted," Hines recounts how navigating the scandal forced her and Kennedy to confront and repair their marriage.

A teaser from "American Canto," released by Vanity Fair on Monday, offered the first look at Nuzzi's explosive claims.

In the excerpt, she said that she only admitted having feelings for "The Politician" after he allegedly confessed his love first. She gushes over his "flame-blue eyes," his "particular complications and particular darkness," and says his nose was the feature she adored most.

Nuzzi also alleged Kennedy wrote her poems, called her "Livvy," told her he would "take a bullet" for her, and even expressed wanting her to have his child, according to a New York Times profile titled "Olivia Nuzzi Did It All for Love."

She says their bond deepened quickly after she profiled him in October 2023, during his independent presidential run.

Nuzzi writes that she fell for his hyper-sensitivity, describing him as a man who could cry over something as simple as a rose. She also claims Kennedy told her that her mouth was the feature he found most irresistible.

Meanwhile, Nuzzi's former fiancé, journalist Ryan Lizza, added fuel to the fire by publishing his own account on Substack.

Lizza claimed Nuzzi was not only involved with Kennedy but also had a separate affair with former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford.

In a post titled "Part 1: How I Found Out," Lizza recounted the moment he believed he uncovered proof. After Nuzzi returned from what she described as a reporting trip, her Herschel backpack spilled open beside their bed. Sifting through the scattered notebooks and papers, he says he found a handwritten letter on hotel stationery dated March 5, 2020.

It read: "If I swallowed every drop of water from the tower above your house, I would still thirst for you." Lizza pointed out that their house didn't have a water tower.

Another sheet, he claimed, identified the intended recipient simply as "Mark," leading him to believe the note was written for Sanford, whose presidential campaign Nuzzi had profiled months earlier, and who himself is known for a high-profile past affair.
