Influencer Mia Monroe Calls Out Jack Doherty After Arrest

Influencer Mia Monroe is not feeling sorry for Jack Doherty after his weekend arrest in Miami. In fact, she’s celebrating it. The social media star slammed the 22-year-old YouTuber after he was taken into custody on drug possession charges, telling The Blast that his downfall has been a long time coming. Doherty was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning after police said he was filming content while standing in the middle of the road, blocking traffic and attempting to engage with officers. He was apprehended after the dangerous stunt, and a subsequent search uncovered half of an orange pill marked “3,” consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine, as well as three suspected cannabis cigarettes.

Doherty, who spoke to TMZ after posting his own $3,500 bail, described the ordeal as “the worst day of his life,” detailing hours stuck in a holding cell, processing delays, and being moved around for his mugshot. But while Doherty paints the arrest as a miserable inconvenience, Monroe sees something different. Long-overdue consequences.

“I’m honestly surprised this is the first time he’s been arrested, but I can’t lie seeing the video of him being handcuffed kind of made my morning,” Monroe told The Blast exclusively. “He’s exactly the type of influencer who gives the whole creator space a bad reputation, so it was really satisfying to see him finally face some consequences when normally he acts like he’s untouchable.”

Monroe added that seeing Doherty in a situation he couldn't navigate with “security guards” or influence was “nice,” and hopes his arrest isn’t the end of his reckoning.  “Even though he’s already out on bail, hopefully this serves as a reality check and not just an opportunity for him to make more garbage content,” she said. “Also hoping his karma doesn’t end here, especially when you remember the (allegedly) awful things he’s done to women with zero accountability.”

As The Blast previously reported, McKinley Richardson opened up about disturbing alleged details of her relationship with Doherty, painting a picture of emotional manipulation, humiliation, and control that played out behind the scenes. Speaking on her close friend Camilla Araujo’s podcast, Richardson described years of being psychologically broken down despite the glamorous image Doherty projected online.

She said the manipulation began subtly but escalated dramatically. Whenever she cried during arguments, Richardson claims Doherty found it “very attractive,” telling her how “beautiful and hot” she looked while crying, even when he was the cause. “I didn’t feel sexy. I felt humiliated,” she said.

According to Richardson, Doherty’s behavior grew more “twisted” as he allegedly engineered emotional reactions for the sake of content. “Every waking moment was filmed,” she recalled. “I stopped knowing what was real.”

Richardson claimed Doherty often weaponized her insecurities for entertainment, flirting with girls in front of her, inviting women to twerk on him, even purchasing club signs mocking her name. “He’d make me look stupid in front of people,” she said. “He’d say, ‘It’s different off camera,’ but so much of it was filmed.”

The influencer further alleged that Doherty regularly criticized her body and pressured her to undergo cosmetic surgery. “He wanted me to get a boob job so bad,” she said, claiming he told her, “I wouldn’t have to look at other girls on the Explore page if you just got big boobs.”

Those comments, she said, left deep emotional damage. “I thought I was the ugliest thing to ever walk the earth,” Richardson admitted. “I compared myself to every girl around him, every girl online.”

While his ex describes years of emotional damage behind the scenes, Doherty’s present-day issues are mounting. Jack Doherty’s Miami arrest may have started as a viral moment, but the legal consequences he’s facing are far more serious than a night in a holding cell. According to Complex, the 22-year-old YouTuber has been charged with three offenses:

• Possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine) — third-degree felony
• Possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana — first-degree misdemeanor
• Resisting arrest without violence — first-degree misdemeanor

Under Florida law, the penalties break down as follows:

• Third-degree felony: Up to 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine
• First-degree misdemeanor: Up to 1 year in jail and a $1,000 fine (per count)

If convicted on all charges, Doherty could be looking at a maximum sentence of seven years behind bars.

Despite the seriousness of the charges against him, Jack Doherty is already using the ordeal to generate more attention online. After spending roughly 24 hours in custody and posting a $3,500 bond, the YouTuber immediately returned to social media, sharing multiple TikToks about the arrest and its aftermath. In several clips, he even wears a T-shirt printed with his own mugshot, a move many say shows that he doesn’t take accountability seriously.
