Lily Rowland’s Near-Naked Sheer Look Sets Off Backlash

Lily Rowland pushed the limits with a near-naked sheer outfit, though a couple of critics tried to dull the shine.

The 21-year-old influencer attended the Maybelline x Miley Cyrus partnership launch party at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles, wearing a lace-embroidered sheer dress. Judging by the reactions, the bulk of her fans liked the outfit. However, a few left disapproving comments.

Rowland stunned in a black mesh dress with embroidered appliqués and stones placed across the fabric. The dress featured spaghetti straps and a low neckline, leaving much of her shoulder bare.

Going braless, she risked near full exposure, with only the appliques shielding her chest. Visibly, the only thing she wore under the transparent dress was briefs with sheer sides that revealed the curve of her hips.

She styled her hair in an updo, letting some tendrils fall on her face. A single ring sat on her index finger, while her ears were adorned with simple hoops.

Hundreds of fans jumped in the comments, some with positive remarks, others disapproving. One user sniped that the dress was an “intimate outfit, not for outside.” A second user complained that “she literally walks around with underwear.”

However, the praise far outnumbered the criticism. A fan joked, “Slayed so hard my phone caught on fire and I fell to the floor and started foaming at the mouth.” Several gushed over the dress, and one duly noted that “she needs her wings.”

Before the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” on October 15, Rowland shared an Instagram reel posing in a Victoria’s Secret lingerie ensemble, complete with a garter belt, stockings, and black feathered wings.

Fans immediately assumed she was walking in the show. One wrote, “Already crying because I’m so proud of you.” Some didn’t even question the post because of Rowland’s longstanding admiration for Victoria’s Secret.

In an April interview with “Wonderland Magazine,” she stated, “I’ve been manifesting the Victoria’s Secret catwalk show since as far back as I can remember.”

Unfortunately, she didn’t make the runway this year. But her public manifestation is gaining traction, and fans are convinced that “she’s gonna be a Victoria’s Secret supermodel.”

While Rowland waits for her Victoria’s Secret dream, she’s engaging with other lingerie brands. Earlier in October, she shared a carousel featuring her look for the “Etam Spring/Summer 2026” show in Paris.

She wore a black bandeau bra, mesh tights, and tiny shorts layered beneath a matching black blazer. Her hair was pulled tight in a bun, and she completed the look with black slingback heels.

A fan urged Etam to “let her walk the show next year,” insisting she’d be “amazing.” Whether it’s Victoria’s Secret or Etam, Rowland’s fans are clearly ready to see her on a catwalk.

Just as summer began to cool off in late September, Rowland attempted to turn up the heat in a deep plunge, cut-out swimsuit that emphasized her curves. The suit was in a slate blue shade with yellow pipings that sharpened every edge and curve of the design.

Its most daring feature was the ultra-low V-front dropping nearly to her navel and showing off a bold sweep of cleavage. Rowland’s hair was swept to the side as she gazed into space in the first slide. By the third slide, her gaze was directed at the camera, cutting through the lenses into the hearts of viewers. “You destroyed me at number 3,” a fan confessed.
