The lip reader also claimed that Sweeney mentioned how some of the "real" fight scenes in the movie left her with a bloody nose, a concussion, and even occasional stitches.

Adding to this, Press noted that Sweeney told Cruise she sustained the injuries because she was determined to portray the film's inspiration, boxing legend Christy Martin, as accurately as possible.

As for what Cruise said during the conversation, those details remain unclear as the actor's back was facing the camera.

A viral video of the pair's conversation swiftly ignited talks of Cruise's Scientology links, with some fans even joking that the actor was trying to recruit Sweeney.

One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Auditioning to join Scientology maybe??" while another joked, "Wait … it kinda makes sense for her to join the church of Scientology."

For the event, both Cruise and Sweeney were dressed to the nines in fashionable attire.

Cruise opted for a well-tailored tuxedo, complete with a white shirt and a bow tie. He also wore his hair in a shaggy, layered style, a look fans have seen him sport many times in the past.

Cruise's appearance at the ceremony comes weeks after reports spread that his whirlwind relationship with Hollywood star Ana de Armas had ended.

Amid speculations about what caused the split, a source told Rob Shuter's #ShuterScoop that de Armas walked away because she was fed up with Cruise's controlling behavior, which showed itself in every part of their relationship.

"He acted like a director, not a boyfriend," said a source about the duo.
