Donald Trump's mission to take Seth Meyers off-air persists, and now he is getting a major backup.

In recent weeks, the president and the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” host have been locked in a back-and-forth feud. Meyers has mocked Trump’s comments about aircraft carrier catapults and even weighed in on newly released emails alleging Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump, in turn, has repeatedly called for the late-night presenter to be fired. Now, in a new move, FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr appears to be backing him.

In Trump’s usual manner, he went off on his tirade about Meyers on his Truth Social platform. “NBC's Seth Meyers is suffering from an incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS),” the president blasted before further ridiculing the comedian.

“He was viewed last night in an uncontrollable rage, likely due to the fact that his ‘show’ is a Ratings DISASTER.” Aside from everything else, Meyers has no talent, and NBC should fire him, IMMEDIATELY!” Trump added.

Hours after the commander-in-chief’s post, Carr publicly aligned with him by posting a screenshot of the rant on X. Although Carr didn't directly comment on this issue, his stance follows an earlier moment where he seemingly threatened regulatory action against ABC following Jimmy Kimmel’s remarks about Charlie Kirk's assassination in September.

Shortly after, ABC suspended “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” With Carr now shifting attention to Meyers and NBC, it remains to be seen how the network will respond.

Seth Meyers' Comments That Reignited Donald Trump's Fury

Trump's renewed push comes days after Meyers discussed the newly released Epstein emails that mentioned the president. As The Blast reported, the TV personality suggested the emails didn't raise new questions but rather confirmed long-standing suspicions about the 79-year-old’s involvement with Epstein.

He joked that if investigators were wondering whether the U.S leader knew about the underage victims, and an email from Epstein directly said he did, that would be “pretty d-mning.”

The former “SNL” writer likened it to a murder case where police find both the murder weapon and a confession note, but the suspect still doesn't have a solid alibi. He ended by mocking a description of Trump as “a dog that hasn't barked,” saying that since 2011, Trump has done nothing but bark and growl.

The messages Meyers referenced were among the 23,000 documents released by Epstein's estate to the House Oversight Committee last week, which The Blast reported.

One 2011 exchange between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell claimed Trump “spent hours” at Epstein's house with a minor and referred to him as “the dog that hasn't barked.”

The text does not identify the victim or detail what allegedly occurred. Another chat from 2019 is a conversation with journalist Michael Wolff, in which the late sex offender disputes reports that Trump expelled him from Mar-a-Lago. Instead, the disgraced financier claimed Trump was fully aware of his activities.

“Trump said he asked me to resign,” Epstein wrote. “Never a member ever... of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

This is far from the first time Trump has demanded Meyers' dismissal. When Meyers mocked his speech to U.S. troops in Japan in October, suggesting Trump was oddly fixated on catapults, the billionaire mogul fired back at him.

As The Blast covered, Trump claimed he tuned into the show for the first time in years and declared Meyers “one of the least talented performers in television history,” further labeling him “the worst to perform.”

He went on to call the former “Weekend Update” anchor “a truly deranged lunatic.” He finished by slamming NBC for continuing to employ someone he called talentless, low-rated, and “100% anti-Trump.”

Despite Trump's continuous demands for NBC to fire Meyers, his contract with the network was extended through 2028, a deal finalized last year.

However, this is something Trump is not pleased with, as when he heard of it in September, he promised to investigate it.

At that time, Trump questioned why the broadcast network continued to keep him given his low ratings, per The Blast. “I don't know, but I'll definitely be finding out!!" Trump declared. For now, the feud continues, and how it ends remains to be seen.
