Actress Sydney Sweeney may not have been overjoyed to hear that her new movie “Christy” was a disappointment at the box office, but she looked overjoyed in a photo that was uploaded by a fan back in July. The snap featured her posing barefoot by the pool with her arms stretched out by her side and her toned tummy on full display.

Sydney Sweeney Has Fans Saying 'Yummm'

The “Euphoria” star looked about as happy as could be in a snap posted back in July. Her long blonde hair, which has since been cut short, was tucked underneath a sun hat. She stretched her arms out by her sides as she stood barefoot beside the pool, letting her sculpted figure do the talking.

One fan commented, “Yummm,” while another follower wrote, “So sweet girl.” A third asked Grok to name the location, but it didn’t respond.

Sydney Sweeney Talks Gaining Weight For ‘Christy’

Although it bombed at the box office, Sydney put in a lot of work in order to get fit for her role in “Christy,” where she plays the titular boxer.

“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training," she told magazine in an interview published in June. "I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour."

Sydney Didn’t Fit Into Her Clothes While Filming

Although she admitted that she “didn’t fit in any of my clothes,” while filming, she admitted that the physical transformation was “amazing,” adding, ‘I was so strong, like crazy strong.”

Unfortunately, she received a lot of criticism for her role, including from “Orange Is The New Black” actress Ruby Rose, who criticized her portrayal of the athlete following the movie’s release. The professional boxer took to Instagram to clap back at the criticism.

Christy Martin Defends Sydney Sweeney From Criticism

“I’ve always been a fighter. My life reflected that in every way and now I fight for others,” Christy wrote in her Instagram post, alongside a photo of her and Sydney on set. “The past few days I have seen some people attack my friend Sydney Sweeney. Syd not only worked her ass off for this film, she worked her ass off for me. For my story. For so many others suffering in silence.”

She added, “So I want to be clear about who Syd is. She is my friend and ally!”

Sydney Is Still ‘So Deeply Proud’ Of The Movie

Even though it failed to perform well at the box office, Sydney said that she wasn’t worried about “numbers” in her own Instagram post addressing the film’s lackluster performance.

“I am so deeply proud of this movie,” she wrote. “Proud of the film David made. Proud of the story we told. Proud to represent someone as strong and resilient as Christy Martin. This experience has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”
