Jeremy Renner's lawyer has called out the actor's film partner, Yi Zhou, after she claimed they had finally put an end to their dispute.
The issue began with Zhou calling out the "Hawkeye" star in a series of Instagram posts in which she accused him of sending her unsolicited intimate photos and videos. The actor then fired back with a cease and desist letter, accusing the director of threatening him.
Now, Jeremy Renner's lawyer, Marty Singer, has slammed the director, claiming that the dispute has not yet been resolved and her story is "fabricated."
Yi Zhou Claims She And Jeremy Renner Have 'Reached A Peaceful' Resolution, But His Lawyer Says Otherwise

In a chat with TMZ, Zhou claimed that she and Renner had "reached a peaceful and mutually respectful resolution."
She didn't share the specifics of her conversation with the actor, but she did reveal that they plan to move forward with their joint projects. The two were working on a documentary, "Chronicles of Disney," and a film created entirely by AI, "Stardust Future."
In her statement to the news outlet, Zhou also thanked everyone involved in the dispute-resolution process, including Renner's attorney, Marty Singer.
She said, "We appreciate everyone who supported a positive outcome and embraced a forward-looking, collaborative path. This resolution allows all parties to continue focusing on storytelling, creativity, and meaningful work that uplifts audiences around the world."
However, Renner's lawyer slammed Zhou, stating that there was no deal reached to resolve the actor's "substantial multi-million dollar claims against her."
Singer added, "I have no knowledge of why Yi Zhou would fabricate a story that a deal has been made with her since she was notified that there was no deal with her, including her use of Jeremy Renner in an animated movie when he only agreed to be in a documentary."
The Duo Fell Out After An Incident In Jeremy Renner's House

The feud between Zhou and Renner began after their relationship reportedly soured following an incident at the actor's house.
According to Zhou, the two had been discussing logistics for The Chronicles of Disney when Renner suddenly decided to have some wine.
She claimed that Renner drank an entire bottle by himself and then had a mood swing that resulted in him yelling for nearly two hours.
Zhou further stated that his behavior left her fearing for her safety and prompted her to reach out to her loved ones to keep them informed.
"I had to location share to my team, my parents, and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me, they know where I am," Zhou said in an interview with the Daily Mail. "I had to lock myself in a room to be safe, praying he would not come into the room at night, as he was really angry. I did not say a word; I was so scared for my life."
Yi Zhou Claimed Jeremy Renner Sent Her Unsolicited Explicit Photos Of Himself

Details about how Renner allegedly sent Zhou unsolicited explicit videos of himself were shared on Instagram by the director.
She claimed the actor first reached out to her in June, which was when he reportedly sent the images.
Zhou also noted that this was his so-called "introduction" to her and claimed that he had done the same with other women.
What followed, according to Zhou, was a series of calls and text discussions during which the actor allegedly tried to allure her.
She claimed that the actor told her he was looking for a relationship and then "seduced" her and "flattered" her that "he was a Hollywood star fantasizing and loving me so much."
The director added, "I believed in him / the power of love and embarked on the most diffucult months + 2 Oscar running projects I kindly invited him to be part. Subsequently, i discovered to be destroyed by a set-up smear fans [sic] campaign against me and our 2 projects."
Jeremy Renner's Response to Yi Zhou's Accusations

Renner, through his lawyer, slammed Zhou's accusation as "false, outrageous, and highly defamatory."
His statement specifically addressed Zhou's claims that she had tried to confront the actor privately about his past misconduct and her allegation that he threatened to call ICE on her.
According to Singer, Zhou's accusations were merely retaliatory, stemming from Renner allegedly rejecting her romantic advances and not promoting their shared projects.
He acknowledged that Renner and Zhou had a brief romance in July but stated that Zhou was the one who pursued the actor.
"The true facts are that Ms. Zhou has relentlessly and aggressively harassed and pursued my client for months with no reciprocation on my client's part, other than a single brief encounter on July 12, 2025," Singer said, per People Magazine.
The Actor Accused The Director Of Coming Onto Him In A Cease And Desist Letter

After Zhou made multiple allegations against the actor, Renner sent out a cease and desist letter in which he claimed the director was the one who came onto him after they met in July to collaborate on a project, "Chronicles of Disney."
According to TMZ, Renner stated that he and Zhou had a "brief consensual encounter" at the time, but by August, when they met again, he turned her down and put her in his guest bedroom to ensure things stayed professional.
However, the actor noted that Zhou kept on being flirtatious with him, going as far as sending him multiple NSFW texts, with one reading, "I want him inside of me so badly so so badly f-ck me, babe."
In cease and desists, Renner told Zhou to refrain from spreading "false, fabricated and salacious lies" about him.
