Things aren't looking so bright for former NBA player Patrick Beverley. In November 2025, the 6'2" point guard was arrested and charged with felony assault.
This, of course, is not the first time Patrick Beverley has received negative press, as he faced severe public condemnation in 2024 after throwing a basketball at a fan during an NBA game and later chastising a reporter who wasn't subscribed to his podcast.

According to a report from TMZ, Beverley, 37, was arrested in Texas and charged with felony assault.
Beverley was taken into custody on November 14, according to court documents viewed by The Blast, and charged with assault, impeding breath or circulation, and family violence.
The athlete paid the $40,000 bond set and was released later that day.
Beverley shared a post on X after his arrest was made public, implying there was more to the story than fans were seeing.
"Please don't believe everything you see on the internet," he wrote. "Hope all is well. Luv."
Fans responded almost instantly, questioning the "Pat Bev Podcast" host and expressing confusion over his statement.
"So, this not you?" someone captioned a picture of his mugshot, while another said, "You know the arrest records are public?"

Letitia Quinones-Hollins, an attorney for Beverley, addressed the charges against the former NBA player and appeared to echo his statement on X.
"Patrick Beverley has no criminal record. He cares deeply about his little sister – a young lady, a minor," the statement to TMZ read. "Given that, when he unexpectedly found her alone in the home with an 18-year-old man in the middle of the night, he was understandably concerned, as any brother would be about his sister."
It concluded, "However, we don’t believe what followed happened the way it’s been described and we look forward to the opportunity to address that in court."
Beverley Has Made Headlines Before

Beverley's latest run-in with the law isn't the first time the NBA player has received negative attention.
According to ESPN, Beverley faced intense pushback in 2024 after a video of him throwing a basketball at a fan went viral.
The incident occurred during the Milwaukee Bucks' Game 6 contest against the Indiana Pacers.
While he didn't answer questions about the matter after the game, Beverley addressed the interaction online, calling it "not fair at all."
"Exchanged between a fan and our ball club all night. We warned and asked for help all night. Not fair," he wrote before eventually admitting he must be "better" as a public figure.
Beverley Got Heat Over Interaction With Journalist

And the negative press didn't end there for Beverley. During his postgame interview, the Illinois native told an ESPN reporter she couldn't ask him questions because she wasn't subscribed to his podcast. He then made her leave the interview circle.
The reporter, Malinda Adams, eventually received an apology from Beverley and shared that the team had reached out to her as well.
Bucks coach Doc Rivers slammed Beverley during an interview of his own, saying Beverley's behavior was not aligned with the team's values.
"We're better than that. Pat feels awful about that. He also understands emotionally -- this is an emotional game and things happen -- unfortunately, you're judged immediately and he let the emotions get the better of him," he said.
Drama In The NBA!

In addition to Beverley's legal woes, other NBA players are facing their own challenges, including Jontay Porter and Terry Rozier.
According to The Blast, Porter, a former Toronto Raptors player, pleaded guilty to wire fraud after investigators revealed he shared non-public information with gamblers, resulting in large payouts from different sportsbooks. He could face up to 20 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 18, 2025.
Rozier, on the other hand, has been accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with an alleged gambling scheme.
"Former and current NBA players and coaches, including Terry Rozier, Damon Jones and additional co-conspirators, allegedly informed the defendants and others of confidential information relating to upcoming NBA games and player performances, such as pre-release medical information and a player’s intention to alter their upcoming game performance, which favored certain bettors within their inner social circle," said an FBI spokesperson.
"This alleged collusion resulted in the defendants secretly pocketing their lavish winnings and corrupting NBA games. The FBI will never turn a blind eye to any insider betting scheme within sporting industries – regardless of title or professional affiliation – to protect its integrity and afford all participants a fair chance to win big," they added.
