Lizzo showcased her latest body transformation at the GQ Men of the Year event after reportedly losing over 60 pounds.
The famous singer, who celebrated reaching her weight goal earlier this year, has emphasized the need to call it "weight release" and has credited steady training and inner work for her achievement.
While continuing to promote body confidence, Lizzo also faces a lawsuit, accusing her of using an unlicensed sample in an unreleased song previewed online.
Lizzo's Evolution Takes Center Stage At GQ Men Of The Year Event
Lizzo has been embracing a major wellness shift over the past two years, and her transformation was on full display at the GQ Men of the Year event at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
The 37-year-old, who is reported to have shed more than 60 pounds, stepped out in a champagne-toned slip dress that highlighted her figure.
She completed the look with white kitten heels, silver accessories, sleek long hair, and bold glam featuring deep red lips and dramatic smoky eyes.
Despite the public attention on her changing body, Lizzo has consistently kept the focus on personal growth rather than appearance.
On the "On Purpose with Jay Shetty" podcast, she shared that she avoids the phrase "weight loss," choosing instead to call it "weight release."
Her reasoning is intentional: she wants her words to empower young people who look up to her.
"They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid," she shared, per Hello Magazine.
Fans Say They Can't 'Recognize' The Singer
On social media, fans were left stunned by Lizzo's slimmer appearance in the slip dress, with some claiming she looked unrecognizable.
A person wrote, "I did not recognize Lizzo," alongside a shocked emoji, while another commented, "You look good. May God continue to bless you and your family."
A third person said, "Girl, you look amazing," while a fourth stated, "Lizzo, we knew the dress was gonna look great."
In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, the singer was asked to list the three things she's doing to stay "radiant."
Responding, Lizzo said, "Protecting my peace, getting sleep, and getting good d-ck. Period!"
Lizzo Celebrates Reaching Her 'Weight Release Goal,' Says Wellness Comes First

Earlier this year, Lizzo announced that she had reached her "weight release goal," revealing she lowered her BMI by 10.5 points and reduced her body fat by 16% since 2023.
"I did it. Today, when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal," the "Good As Hell" hitmaker wrote in a celebratory social media post, adding that she hasn't "seen this number since 2014!"
She added, "Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!"
In September, she also shared that her progress came after months of consistent weight training and maintaining a calorie deficit, though she emphasized that slimming down wasn't her primary motivation.
Instead, she has been prioritizing emotional healing and overall well-being.
Lizzo Reflects On Slow, Steady Weight-Loss Journey And Embraces Her 'Body Icon' Status

Speaking to The New York Times last spring, Lizzo explained that her journey has been steady and gradual.
"I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it," Lizzo noted.
Throughout her career, Lizzo has remained unapologetically confident in her body and has often pushed back against critics.
She has long described herself as a "body icon," telling People that beauty comes in many forms.
"I think I have a really hot body," she said. "It may not be one person's ideal body type, just like, say, Kim Kardashian might not be someone's ideal, but she's a body icon and has created a modern-day beauty standard."
The Singer Was Hit With A New Lawsuit Over An Alleged Unlicensed Sample In An Unreleased Song

Meanwhile, Lizzo is facing another legal battle, this time from a Georgia-based company accusing her of using an uncleared sample in an unreleased track.
According to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in California, the singer previewed a snippet of a song, reportedly titled "I'm Goin' In Till October," that includes elements of "Win or Lose (We Tried)," a work represented by The GRC Trust.
The snippet, posted on social media in August, showed Lizzo joking about the buzz surrounding Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle campaign, even referencing the actress with the line, "I got good jeans like I'm Sydney."
The lawsuit claims that the underlying music sampled in this clip belongs to GRC, with Jimmy Ginn listed as the track's publishing owner and Sam Dees credited as the original composer.
According to Variety, GRC's attorneys argue that Lizzo and Atlantic Records benefited from the use of the sample, stating that the parties attempted to resolve the matter privately but ultimately "reached an impasse," prompting the lawsuit.
A representative for Lizzo responded by expressing surprise at the lawsuit, clarifying that the track in question "has never been commercially released or monetized."
