Isla Fisher is taking her post-divorce days in stride and enjoying her life.

After ending a marriage that lasted over a decade, the actress is getting in tune with navigating life on her own. She is taking significant life steps to ensure she has a smooth sailing as a single woman, but the experience is totally different from what she knows.

Isla Fisher and her ex-husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, were married for almost fourteen years before calling it quits. The pair were together for over twenty years, shared a lifetime together, and have three children, Olive, Elula, and Montgomery.

Fisher and Cohen got their divorce finalized in 2023 and have remained out of the spotlight for a while. Recently, the actress gave a sneak peek into her new life in London.

She describes her new place as a calming space and admits that she was indeed worried about missing the light in LA and Australia, where she spent her childhood.

She also revealed that when the furniture and accent pieces for her luxurious new residence arrived, she had a bit of a cry as it was all sinking in that this was her first time as a single woman being in her own home.

She describes the interior decor as Warm and casual, but glamorous, hinting at her theatrical nature. Fisher moved into the new home after the death of her father and the end of her marriage in the same year.

Speaking to Elle Decoration, she confessed that she is enjoying this new version of her life. However, she says, "trying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding."

Fisher reiterated how focused she is on maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in her new home. In her words, "I don't need to party in my house anymore," even though her living room gives odd the full jazz-club vibe.

She also shared what she would rather spend her evenings doing, which includes getting in the bath after lighting some candles and having a little personal Netflix and chill moment. Admittedly, she divulged that she loves to be in bed, as that is the only place to find peace sometimes.

Enjoying her peace does not stop her from keeping a close eye on her kids. She shared that she was intentional about having their rooms on the same floor as hers so that she could monitor their smartphone use.

Another lovely feature of her home was the outdoor space, which would serve a good purpose when her family visits.

Cohen and Fisher finalized their divorce this year. The pair announced that they had filed for a divorce in 2023 without sharing any major reasons for this.  "After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down," their released statements disclosed.

After the whole process was finalized, they released statements to that effect explaining that they were proud of their achievements as a couple, adding that they would remain friends and committed to co-parenting their kids.

PEOPLE reported that Fisher described the end of her marriage as the most difficult thing she has been through, but she learned a lot from the process. They asked that their privacy and that of their children be respected.

About two years before the duo separated, The Blast reported that they celebrated twenty years together with sweet tributes on their socials. The former lovebirds first met at a "pretentious party" in Sydney in 2000 and got married in 2010.

On the anniversary date, Fisher made an early morning post which featured some pictures of the couple when they were younger and a single snapshot of Cohen. She wrote in the caption, "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever, Winnie the Pooh."

Cohen shared the same photos and message on his timeline. Fans sent congratulatory messages to both of them and wished them many more years to celebrate together. They lived through many milestones together, and Fisher even converted to Judaism for her beau.

In 2022, The Blast reported that Courteney Cox revealed Fisher and Cohen's role in setting her up. While linking up with other friends in the industry for a house party, Cox reportedly expressed to Fisher that she had a crush on Johnny McDaid after seeing him playing the piano.

Fisher told her then husband, who walked up to Snow Patrol musicians McDaid and Lightbody, and said, "Hey! Courteney wants to f-ck one of you from Snow Patrol. And it's not you, Gary."

Cox and McDaid kicked things off, dated, got engaged, broke up, and got back together. They have since remained a strong couple.
