Amy Schumer is setting the record straight about a narrative she claims the media has created.

The actress, who has been flaunting how confident she is in her skin and trim body, recently raised eyebrows for her Instagram activities. She has been open about her weight loss journey and other health battles, but she is drawing a clear line at wrong spins.

Amy Schumer's transparency about her personal life radiates as she previously called on other celebrities to do the same, rather than hiding their use of medications for weight loss.

Amy Schumer Slams The Media's Narrative About Her Deleted Photos

Schumer released a statement clapping back at media outlets' claims of her reason for deleting her old photos from her Instagram account. The actress insists that the narrative was totally created, and it was not her motive for the move.

She then assuredly wrote that she has always been proud of how she looked and that her focus has always been on getting herself to the best level healthwise. "I have been working to be pain-free and I finally am," she wrote, before explicitly stating some health challenges she has overcome.

The lengthy caption revealed that her endometriosis was better and that she was finally free from the Cushing syndrome, which affected her face. Schumer then expressed gratitude for being strong and healthy and revealed that the weight-loss journey she went on was not intentional.

Schumer ended her statement by sending a positive message to fans, wishing them strength and self-love, and urged them to be respectful to everyone, irrespective of their path. She also maintained that Instagram was not an identity, and that she feels beautiful and strong.

The Actress' Post Was Well-Received By Fans

The social media release got over thirty thousand likes, some comments, and reshares. Her online audience flooded the comments with countless heart and applauding hands emojis.

Many other users praised her for speaking up, and some wrote that they were glad to hear she was better. A user notably commented about how many other women are judged for their weight or weight loss and thanked the actress for speaking out.

"[Clapping emojis] Shed what doesn't serve you, and go on your journey, sis!" a commenter wrote, nudging at the fact that people are free to lose whatever their body houses when they feel like. Others simply wrote that her statement was well said, called her a "legend," and expressed love for the actress.

Schumer Recently Showed Off Her Confident Body

Just a few weeks before the actress cleared her Instagram grid, leaving only a few photos on, she showed off her abs on her stories. The picture was a mirror selfie as she posed holding her pants.

As reported by The Blast, Schumer was clad in a purple tank top and blue pants. She had her thumb tucked in the waistband of the pants and used her other hand to hold the phone in front of the mirror. Her caption was "No filter, No filler, No clean mirror."

She had also flaunted her new figure while on an outing with close friends, where she showed off her toned legs. Over the past few months, Schumer has reportedly lost about 40lbs, bringing her to the 130lb weight class.

An Open Book About Weight Loss Medications

Schumer revealed that she tried different weight loss drugs, including Wegovy, but the drug resulted in severe vomiting and nausea, and she admitted that she "couldn't handle it." 

She also used Ozempic, but revealed how it made her feel sick and prevented her from playing with her son. Upon consulting with Midi Health, she then switched to Mounjaro, which she used alongside estrogen and progesterone. She disclosed that this blend helped to manage her premenopausal symptoms. 

The former two meds reportedly left her severely nauseous and bedridden at times, but with Mounjaro, her looks were transformed, boosting her confidence, energy, and sex drive.

Amy Schumer Called Other Celebrities To Get Candid About Using Ozempic

In 2023, Schumer gave a piece of her mind to other celebrities who use weight loss medications but conceal the fact. She encouraged them to be transparent while appearing on the "Watch What Happens Live" show with Andy Cohen.

The comedian urged fellow stars, stressing the importance of authenticity. She made reference to how she did not hide when she got a lipo and said they should be real with people.

Amid critiquing other celebrities, she admitted to using the Type II diabetes drug, but that the severe side effects were unbearable, and so she had to quit. She disclosed that even though she initially saw immediate results, she became  both "skinny" and "sick."
