The drama surrounding the state of Wendy Williams' cognitive state continues, with new examination results reportedly shutting down the dementia narrative.

It is no secret that the former shock jock has been under a court-appointed guardianship since May 2022 after her bank, Wells Fargo, raised concerns about her mental capacity. In 2023, her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, alleged that she had been diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Wendy Williams and her loved ones have repeatedly denied the alleged diagnosis, insisting that she was not cognitively impaired like Morrissey claimed. Now, a top neurologist has called BS on the court-appointed guardian's dementia narrative.

Williams' alleged dementia diagnosis resurfaced in August following another medical evaluation. The Blast covered the story, reporting that Morrissey's attorney implored the court for an extension of the guardianship based on the examination results.

The filing implied that the results of the medical evaluation showcased the need for Williams' continued guardianship under Morrissey. Although the results weren't detailed in the legal documents, sources alleged that Williams was re-diagnosed with FTD and aphasia.

The alleged results came months after Williams revealed she had undergone a different medical evaluation. She shared in March that she underwent mental competency tests and "passed with flying colors," a claim her caretaker, Ginalia Monterrosa, echoed.

Williams faced another situation last month when she learned about her finances through the media. The Blast reported that she claimed she was unaware of the state of her finances since Morrissey took control of her wealth.

According to the report, Williams was shelling out approximately $25,000 in rent for her apartment in the Coterie; however, she believed she was paying $18,000. Due to the disparity, the media personality was worried Morrissey had been secretly chipping away at her wealth.

Williams claimed she had no idea how much the court-appointed guardian was removing to cover her bills, revealing that she was given a meager allowance of $200-$300 weekly to survive. She claimed the sum was so small that she only spent it on Twizzlers and magazines.
