Dr. Wendy Osefo is the fourth and final "Real Housewives" cast member to star in the new Bravo spin-off, "Wife Swap." In the series, the four glamorous reality stars swap lives with another woman living a completely different life from their own. At the end of the episode, the women open up about the significant challenges they faced during their time away and reflect on how the unforgettable experience will impact their lives moving forward. And according to Wendy, filming the show is something she won't forget any time soon.
Wendy Osefo Called Filming 'Wife Swap' The 'Experience Of A Lifetime'

Speaking with Us Weekly, Wendy, a "Real Housewives of Potomac" veteran, called filming the "Wife Swap" show the "experience of a lifetime" before explaining how "interesting" it's been to see herself through the lens of other people. "And it's one of those experiences you can't put a price tag on. I really enjoyed myself," she said.
In her episode, which aired on Sunday, November 9, Wendy swapped lives with Alethea Shapiro from Florida, a free-spirited, fun-loving, independent mother with a passion for "no rules" and peculiar animals.
What Changed In Wendy And Eddie Osefo's Life After Filming 'Wife Swap'?

As shown in the episode, Wendy was certainly pushed outside her comfort zone and challenged to live a less structured life away from her husband, Eddie, and their three children. However, her time away was actually more beneficial for the "Real Housewives" star and her marriage than she may have even realized.
"It changed the way I approached it, meaning it doesn't always have to be one-sided, being like, 'OK, Wendy makes the role.' No, I think that Eddie's an amazing father and amazing husband, and he's more than capable of being able to cocreate whatever we decide, and he's really doing that a lot," she said.
Why Wendy Osefo Joined The Cast Of 'Wife Swap'

Wendy also got candid about her decision to join the cast of "Wife Swap" during a previous interview, explaining that she viewed it as an opportunity to document and cherish an experience most others wouldn't be afforded, according to The Blast.
"I'm one of those people where I jump into things headfirst, then think about the consequences later," she said. "I was like, 'This will be great!' I can look back on this when I'm 90 years old and say, 'Look what I did!' But my husband [Eddie] had more questions. He was like, 'Wait, what is this? What are we doing? How long is this?' It was a mixed bag. But we talked through it. Then it all made sense and we decided, 'Hey, why not?'"

Prior to the airing of Wendy and Eddie's episode of "Wife Swap" on Bravo, the two reality stars were arrested in Maryland and slapped with a host of charges, including insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and one count of giving a false statement to police.
Their arrest in October 2025 stemmed from a burglary report the pair filed in April 2024, claiming their home was robbed while on vacation, and several luxury goods, including purses, shoes, and jewelry, had been stolen.
According to an earlier report from The Blast, Maryland law enforcement officers denied the pair's claim at the time of their arrest, later accusing Wendy and Eddie of returning several of the "stolen" items to stores for full refunds before the alleged burglary.
The immediate fallout from the pair's arrest has been apparent, leading to Wendy's resignation from her teaching position at Wesleyan University and Eddie facing potential disbarment.
"Eddie Osefo is at risk of losing his license. A state bar agency could definitely revoke his law license, especially upon conviction," Sam Bassett, a Texas criminal defense attorney, said, adding that "generally, a license is always subject to review or revocation upon a felony arrest or conviction."
Andy Cohen Breaks Silence On Wendy And Eddie's Arrest

Many of Wendy's co-stars, including Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby, have shared their thoughts on her and Eddie's arrest. Bravo's head honcho, Andy Cohen, also broke his silence on Wendy's ongoing legal woes, admitting he's "really sad" about the situation. "I'm a Wendy fan, and she has been a great Housewife and a great role model," he said.
Emily Simpson, a "Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member who was also featured on "Wife Swap" and happens to be a former copyright and family lawyer, also spoke about Wendy's charges, explaining that it "doesn't look great."
Simpson added, "I do hope that she has some kind of solid defense. I know I read some things about they were saying that maybe the search was illegal. I don't know."
