Lizzo is reminding everyone what confidence looks like. On Saturday, November 8, the 37-year-old Grammy winner turned heads at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles, dazzling in a curve-hugging black sequin gown by Diane von Furstenberg. The stunning look featured a plunging neckline and a classic Old Hollywood flair, complete with a black fur stole and diamond jewelry that shimmered under the lights. Her glam was pure vintage elegance. Lizzo's hair was teased into soft, voluminous curls, and her smoky eye makeup added the perfect sultry touch. Walking the carpet hand-in-hand with her boyfriend, Myke Wright, who coordinated in a sleek black satin suit and sunglasses, Lizzo radiated pure power energy.
Lizzo Opens Up About Finding 'A Beautiful Balance' After Weight Loss

The show-stopping appearance came shortly after Lizzo opened up about her evolving relationship with her body in a candid cover story for Women's Health U.K. "I like how I look now," she told the outlet. "I still think I'm big. I'm still wearing plus-size clothing. I have the same rolls. I got the same belly, the same thighs. I think I'm just a smaller version."
She continued, "Body positivity has nothing to do with staying the same. Body positivity is the radical act of daring to exist loudly and proudly in a society that told you you shouldn't exist."
The "Good as Hell" singer also reflected on her past struggles with binge eating, revealing she has now found what she calls "a beautiful balance" in her relationship with food. "If you allow yourself to have something, you can enjoy it without overindulging and hurting yourself," she said. "I'm so proud of myself for overcoming that."
Fans Can't Stop Gushing Over Her Glamorous Baby2Baby Look

Lizzo's jaw-dropping appearance at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala didn't just light up the red carpet; it lit up social media. Fans across X (formerly Twitter) were quick to flood her mentions with love and praise, calling the singer's look "stunning," "radiant," and "next-level glam."
"Lizzo looks so freaking amazing!" one fan wrote, while another added, "Oh baby! Lizzo is looking real good."
Others celebrated her timeless beauty, with one user sharing, "Lizzo looks good, she's always been pretty tho." Another fan echoed the sentiment, posting, "Lizzo is so pretty."
Lizzo Questions What 'Body Positivity' Even Means Anymore

While Lizzo has long been hailed as a leader in the body positivity movement, even she admits the term doesn't mean what it used to. Earlier this year, during an interview with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show, the Grammy winner opened up about how the movement has shifted, and not always for the better.
"I think people don't know what body positivity is because the body positivity movement was very political and it got taken and kind of commercialized and now body positivity to people is code word for 'fat,'" Lizzo explained, per Billboard. "Like DEI is code word for Black… so they're like, 'Oh she's not body positive anymore, I'm not fat anymore,' but I'm still body positive because the body positive movement was actually created by a subgroup of people who were not put in the media, who were not praised, who were told we shouldn't exist and we were not good enough because our bodies were bigger, or disabled, or even queer and trans."
For her, body positivity was never about hashtags or aesthetics, but it was about visibility, inclusion, and self-acceptance for those society pushed aside.
Clapping Back At Critics After Hitting Her 'Weight Release Goal'

Lizzo began documenting her health and weight loss journey in 2023, sharing frequent updates with fans on social media. By January, she proudly revealed that she had reached her "weight release goal," celebrating a 10.5-point reduction in her body mass index (BMI).
But while her transformation has drawn plenty of praise, it's also sparked criticism, something Lizzo has never shied away from addressing. "Me saying I love myself in 2016 was offensive to people … How dare you love yourself! You are fat and Black and you're a woman, so you shouldn't love yourself," she explained to Women's Health U.K. "I had to fight for that [to love myself]. And now I'm fighting again."
Still, the chart-topper remains unapologetic about her body and her evolution. "It's okay to release weight. It's okay to gain weight after you've released weight, because what you're not going to do is shame me if my body changes again and I get bigger," she said.
Lizzo's Baby2Baby Gala Look Becomes A Powerful Statement Of Self-Love and Confidence

As Lizzo shimmered under the spotlight at the Baby2Baby Gala, an event that raises funds for children living in poverty, her look wasn't just about fashion; it was about self-acceptance and confidence. The singer has long embodied empowerment through her music and message, and her red carpet moment felt like the culmination of that journey.
